One of the main drug production sites at UCB is located in Bulle (canton of Fribourg), Switzerland. Every day, UCB Switzerland's 600 employees produce medicines to enable millions of patients with serious illnesses around the world to live a better life. The Bulle site produces medicines for allergies, epilepsy and autoimmune diseases

Role spotlight...
Biotech Manufacturing Technicians

As a Biotech Manufacturing Technician you are responsible for the activities of upstream/downstream biotechnology production in a 5x8 shift, ensuring that deadlines and the required quality necessary are achieved for the successful functioning of operations.
Key skills and experience needed for this role include:


- CFC in Chemical and Pharmaceutical production Technologist or Operator / Bachelor in Life science Technologies / or equivalent experience in chemical or food industry
- Knowledge of GMPs and requirements related to the pharmaceutical environment is a plus
- Experienced and comfortable with automation systems (user level)

Biotech Laboratory Technicians

As a laboratory technician, you will be responsible for quality control of production activities, whether through in-process controls or analysis of the finished product. The key skills and experience required for this role are as follows:

- CFC Laboratory Technician in chemistry, biochemistry or biology /Bachelor in analytical chemistry, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of GMPs and requirements related to the pharmaceutical environment is a plus
- Experienced and comfortable with a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is a plus


Quality Specialists

As a Quality Operations QA Specialist, you will be responsible for compliance activities and quality strategies with regards to the operations related to products delivery, and responsible to proactively support operations (on the floor) in the biotech production area. Key skills and experience needed for this role include:

- Minimum 5 years professional experience in manufacturing, laboratory, quality assurance/control, regulatory affairs. 
- Independent worker under tight and shifting priorities. 
- Ability to coordinate multifaceted projects and to meet critical deadlines
