To strengthen our Global Reward team, based in our headquarter in Brussels, Belgium, we are looking to fill the position of:

 

Head of Global Compensation.

As a UCB 'agilytical' person and Head of Global Compensation you will contribute by:
• developing innovative compensation solutions that ensure a positive and engaging compensation experience for all employees while reinforcing our culture and company values.

• providing critical input into the design and deployment of our evolving total reward strategy

• continuously looking for opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our global compensation programs and policies (base salary management, variable pay, recognition programs, incentive compensation)

• building and maintaining strong partnerships and effective collaboration across the global HR organization as well as with key stakeholders outside HR

• driving global compensation policy development, maintenance, governance and communications

• providing consultative advice to HR and business leaders on key compensation challenges

• monitoring and advising on marketplace trends and relevant laws to maintain competitiveness and compliance

• ensuring consistency across the organization through our job grading system, creating tools, process and procedures that can be uniformly applied across the company.

• overseeing compensation processes such as salary structure development and annual compensation cycle.
EMEA Reward Partner (secondary role)

• for EMEA only, acting as a partner across all aspects of reward including also pensions, health and welfare benefits, perks

• monitoring and addressing reward challenges and opportunities across the region

• building reward know-how and expertise across the EMEA HR community.

• Act as a point of escalation on compensation topics within EMEA (e.g. job leveling, job offers, relocations) and compensation policy interpretation.

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:


• Ideally holding a master’s degree, 5+ years experience in a global or regional compensation position.

• Knowledge of the pharma/life sciences sector a plus

• Proven ability to manage complex, international compensation actitvites at senior management level.

• Be a connector both internally and externally, with the ability to leverage networks to learn and understand evolving market best practices

• Able to apply relevant solutions through a deep understanding of business reality and company culture.

• Effective and proven interpersonal relations a must: particularly tact, sensitivity, professionalism, confidentiality and diplomacy.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to design and implement effective communications

• Strong project management and planning skills, able to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, set goals and enforce deadlines, while maintaining flexibility and agility to reassess and re-prioritize
