Responsibilities

  • Lead the definition and establishment of comprehensive Master Data Management strategies and roadmap, specifically for Managed Care Organization (MCO) customers and Products, to meet the current and future needs of the business
  • Understand the connection of disparate data sources, and ensure proper processes and rules are used to join that data, including fact & profiling data
  • Assist stakeholders with questions/challenges related to system or data, including source matching
  • Ensure effective data stewardship across various data sources
  • Liaise with vendor partners in data stewardship and coordinate activity, including maintenance of data definitions
  • Document procedures and processes, including updates
  • Develop & maintain training for stakeholders, and effectively communicate process/data changes or updates
  • Participate in internal & external meetings as subject matter expert
  • Work closely with IT and Information Management & Data Governance partners to ensure robust methodologies on data management
  • Ensure compliance with all respective laws and regulations
  • Manage & oversee SLAs related to data quality metrics for master data management
  • Understand business priorities and provide recommendations around continuous improvement
  • Understand the roles, responsibilities, and expertise of extended cross-functional project teams

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in data management for a mid to large size corporation, preferably in the medical/pharmaceutical industry
  • Have a thorough technical background in third party data management, MDM/CRM, data analysis, and business rules translation
  • Expert understanding of Master Data Management strategies, services and capabilities; including product data management practices in a pharmaceutical setting (Market Baskets, Product-level Attributes, etc.)
  • Solid knowledge of and subject matter expertise across MCO customer segments (Health Plans, Payers, PBMs, etc.)
  • Hands on experience in Reltio (or similar platform)
  • Familiarity with Pharma data vendors (IQVIA, Symphony, LiquidHub, Optum, etc.) essential
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex data and diverse sources in a synergistic manner
  • Technical knowledge of core data management components such as data models, source-to-target mapping lineage, business glossaries, data dictionaries, and data profiling
  • Possess the ability to understand business needs and their translation into technical requirements
  • Be self-motivated team player, with excellent written & verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate technical information to non-technical partners
  • Ability to influence without formal authority
  • Knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-solving skills
  • Mid to high acumen in SQL for data validation
  • Experience in productivity applications (Access, Excel)
  • Ability to work independently and complex problem-solving with minimal guidance, as well as evaluate trade-offs among cost, timeline, and system functionality
