Advocacy & EU Medical Education Lead - Dermatology

To strengthen our EU Strategic Operations Team, based in anywhere in Europe, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Advocacy & EU Medical Educational Lead - Dermatology

As the Advocacy & EU Medical Educational Lead - Dermatology you will be the key driver of the EU medical educational activities and closely liaise with all stakeholders to define and develop an EU medical educational strategy.


You like to work in an environment where you can: 
•    Be a key driver of the EU medical educational activities, in alignment with the brand strategy, and closely liaises with all stakeholders involved in stakeholder learning to define (based upon insights) and develop an EU medical educational strategy. 
•    Work in close collaboration with the EU Strategic Operations team, European Areas, Global missions and Talent Acquisition for tactical and strategic guidance as well as with the Medical Affairs Centre of Excellence for educational framework aspects and guidance
•    Develop impactful centralized Medical Education activities as part of the European Medical Education Plan and see to the implementation of these educational tactics to translate scientific knowledge into changed treatment behaviour that ultimately benefit identified patient populations.


You will contribute by: 
•    Based on Field insights and needs assessments, co-developing with internal stakeholders an iEU Medical Educational Strategic Plan that encompasses a range of major educational events (Summit and congress educational plans) for HCPs under one iEU Educational Strategy
•    Ensuring impactful delivery and implementation of iEU (central) activities and tactics in the iEU Educational Strategy Plan, through interactions with ‘educational stakeholders’:
-    iEU Strategic Operation, 
-    Areas Medical Team (Scientific Leads, Medical Solution Leads, dedicated MSLs), 
-    Global CZP and BKZ missions 
-    Medical Affairs CoE
-    Talent Acquisition, Development & Learning
-    The iEU Educational Strategy Plan central pillars contain:
o    International Immunology Summit
o    Various Omnichannel educational approaches
o    International Preceptorships in rheumatology and dermatology
•    Closely collaborate with iEU Congress and Event Leads, and in accordance with the EU Med Ed strategic plan on impactful major projects 
•    Leading scientific KOL engagement activities at European Congresses
•    Coordinating EU advocacy/KOL plan and its implementation 
•    Set and maintain scientific leadership through the organisation of high impact stakeholder learning across the European and Area educational strategy
•    Be the EU central contact person for External educational grants and responsible for the management of educational projects 
•    Coordinating European medical capability training deployment, tracking and monitoring, 
•    Drive translation of European strategy into sound and impactful tactics demonstrating patient value
•    Working closely with Area Scientific and Medical Solutions Leads to make the match with educational needs inherent to the local ecosystem and assist in the generation of area educational programmes that enable impactful Peer-to-Peer activities:
-    Recommend learning methods that are relevant to target stakeholders and suited to maximize learning impact
-    Steer customization of learning needs analyses including those of learners, groups, professions or healthcare systems
-    Steer the definition and prioritization of learning needs and intended outcomes within regions and countries 
-    Steer the customization of effective learning journeys impacting competencies, professional performance and patient outcomes
-    Explore and pilot innovative, digital educational programs for external stakeholders in close collaboration with Technologies & Digital Impact team.
•    Through co-creational efforts with areas be part of the generation of the Area Educational Plans
•    Supports the area network in the concretization of medical educational outputs of transversal EU projects and co-creates and appropriates educational tactics for use in areas
•    In close collaboration with the Area Scientific Leads and Ecosystem Leads develop and enhance scientific relationships with European KOLs as speakers at educational events. 


Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills: 
•    A minimum of 2 years relevant medical education or dermatology therapeutic area experience
•    Extensive knowledge of the dermatology therapeutic areas, assets, diseases, stakeholders 
•    Knowledge of educational design, theoretical frameworks for learning planning and adult learning principles
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills 
•    Experience in KOL or other stakeholder management and stakeholder engagement
•    Experience in digital educational platforms
•    Ability to synthesize and apply specialized knowledge of available medical resources
•    Knowledge of healthcare ecosystems and the stakeholders influencing decisions 
•    Thorough understanding of the regulatory and compliance guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry
•    Experience in developing strategies based on benchmarking and stakeholder insights 
•    Experience in strategic and tactical planning, execution and complex project management
•    Experience in or working with business functions
•    Comfortable working in an agile and patient value driven environment 
•    Comfortable arbitrating global and regional risk tolerance across functional groups
