Commercial Data & Analytics Lead

Within the global UCB IT organization, the Global IT Commercial & Analytics group is playing a crucial role in partnering with Patient Value Operations & Units to operationalize and enable UCB’s commercial  data strategy empowered by innovative technology. 

We are looking for 2 unique individuals to strengthen our team.

As the Commercial Data & Analytics Lead, you will act as a trusted partner connecting regularly with the different business units and IT to identify Data & Analytics opportunities in the commercial area that can contribute to build a common data and AI  roadmap that positively impacts our patients.

Data as an enterprise asset is one of core principles; this means that you will master the commercial data foundational capabilities  and commercial data flows overall.

You will be accountable for driving information and data architecture decisions unlocking the value of the commercial data value chain through AI initiatives.

One position is based in Brussels, Belgium and the other is in Atlanta US

Your main responsibilities

As the Digital Commercial Analytics Lead, you will:

  • Partner with Operational Excellence, Enterprise Architecture, AI team , and Business Unit stakeholders to develop and sustain the Commercial Data and AI  strategy, and targeted data architecture.
  • Support and lead the creation of new commercial data sets and be accountable for qualitative, timely, innovative and insightful AI deliverables and solutions implementations.
  • Ensure that the Commercial target information and data architecture is understood and implemented by the relevant build team(s) and partner(s).
  • Understand and evaluate current and emerging data, analytic and reporting technology trends. Coordinate proof of concepts in partnership with the appropriate build team(s).
  • Develop sustainable, reusable design patterns and best practices that can be leveraged by the enterprise
  • Advocate data security and the appropriate use of information and data within the target information and data architecture.

  • Passionate about technology and how it can improve the life of patients
  • Engineering, Economics, Mathematics or similar degree
  • Familiar with  predictive analytics, machine learning, optimization, and knowledgeable in several of the following technologies R, Python, SQL, MATLAB, SAS, Java, Spark, Scala, AWS, QlikSense.
  • 4+ years of experience with Data Warehouse and Analytics / Reporting solutions. The core solutions you will be exposed to are mainly Denodo, Informatica, Netezza, Qlik, R, Cognos BI. Knowledge of Veeva CRM is a plus point.
  • Project management expertise and proven track record in managing relationships with business partners and external IT suppliers
  • Storytelling ability to make effective presentations to diverse groups and facilitate brainstorming sessions.
  • Focused. Decisive. Ability to help/lead teams and business leaders prioritize ideas, distilling them into strategies and tactics
  • Experienced with analytics from different sources such as but not limited to: social media, salesforce as well as digital sites and tools
  • Enjoys working with high energy individuals to solve difference challenges
