To strengthen our Global Patient Access Team, based in our Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Global Pricing Operations Lead.

 

As a Global Pricing Operations Lead, you will play a key role in influencing the Global Regional Commercial Teams and lead global pricing governance initiatives. You will be delivering and ensuring the best-in-class pricing and analytics tools are in place to support the operationalisation of the pricing and access strategies across UCB’s portfolio for new and established products.

  • Coordinate UCB’s Global Pricing Governance by organising ex- US Global Regional Pricing committees including EU, Japan, China and international Markets
  • Lead cross functional stakeholder interactions with Therapeutic Area Heads, Regional Heads and other key affiliates
  • Establish Regional Floor Prices linked to DoA (Delegation of Authority) levels
  • Empower local decision making (within DoA) to ensure decisions made in a timeline manner and address local contexts and needs
  • Deliver and maintain new generation of pricing tools to enable pricing optimisation of the current portfolio and new launches
  • Enhance current capabilities of Global Pricing Portal & Business Case Tool, aiming to automate most of data collection & enable automatic reports to facilitate decision making
  • Enhance current Launch Sequence (LS) Optimisation Approach, allowing additional flexibility to consider multiple scenarios and handle indication expansion price erosion considerations. The successful candidate will also be responsible to deliver the LS for all new launches in close collaboration with the respective Global Pricing Asset Lead
  • Enhance current LoE Optimisation Tools and Approach. The successful candidate will also be responsible to deliver LOE Optimisation recommendations in partnership with the respective Global Pricing Asset Lead
  • Set up & maintain International Price Reference Rules (IPR) Repository, validate by UCB’s local pricing teams, and establish clear guidance & process on how best to implement such rules within different tools

 

You will contribute by:

  • Championing Operational Pricing Launch Excellence Practices and representing the Global pricing team in different Launch excellence activities within UCB
  • Developing a Pricing Launch Excellence RoadMap for UCB, coordinating pricing knowledge management across launches
  • Providing input into different pricing strategies across the portfolio
  • Lead projects related to UCB’s overall corporate pricing strategy
  • Managing a small team of 2/3 pricing analysts, providing guidance and prioritising activities and the distribution of workload amongst the team
  • Developing capability building and design and implementing training plans for the analyst team
  • Partnering with Finance, Strategy Planning & Portfolio Management to optimise process & tools to capture pricing assumptions for the annual 10 Year Plan Forecasting exercise
  • Ensuring Pricing Operations SOPs are well document and up to date

 

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

  • Must-have experience in managing the implementation of pricing tools and coordinating their roll-out, including development of training materials
  • High analytical capability with history of effectively directing and leveraging data, market research and customer insights to optimize price to support access and revenue goals
  • Consolidated expertise in Pharmaceutical Pricing and Market Access with a good knowledge of pricing systems in key ex-US markets for UCB (EU5, CN, JP). Knowledge of additional markets is a plus. Experience with IRP and LSO will also be beneficial.
  • Relevant and demonstrable experience with European Pricing and Market Access activities in a pharmaceutical company (or related such as medical devices or consultancy); European and national/country – strongly preferred.
  • Excellent project management abilities with a strong attention to detail
