To strengthen our Global Clinical Science & Operations (GCSO) department, based either in Monheim (Germany), Brussels (Belgium), Slough (UK) or Raleigh (US) we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Head of Clinical Solutions.


As Head of Clinical Solutions you will lead the Clinical Solutions group within the Clinical Data and Innovation (CDI) department and be in charge of embedding  technology and software solutions towards conducting studies and delivering processes for the organization.


You like to work in an environment where you can:

  • Drive and implement the short/mid/long term strategy regarding technology and software solutions for CDI and Global Clinical Science & Operations (GCSO)
  • Support clinical study teams by leading the delivery of solutions for data collection and study management for all clinical trials conducted by UCB


You will contribute by:

  • Developing and implementing the GCSO strategy in terms of technology and software solutions
  • Leading, training, mentoring, coaching, and developing all members of Clinical Solutions group
  • Identifying, assessing and implementing technology, collaborating effectively with both internal and external partners
  • Ensuring solutions requirements together with applicable implementation and validation processes are followed and documented
  • Ensuring that defined quality standards, project timelines, timelines of other deliverables and Key Performance Indicators are met
  • Building external network of peers and providers to ensure UCB is at forefront of new technologies and initiatives, ensure team are engaged in network activities


Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

  • Relevant academic background
  • 10+ years pharmaceutical industry experience with proven successful track record in pharmaceutical development.
  • 5+ years’ experience managing staff in an international Biometry / Data Management / Data Operations department.
  • Excellent understanding of data related processes and technical infrastructure.
  • Experience in building, being responsible for and leading teams in a global organization
