To strengthen our Regional Learning and Development team based in Brussels (Belgium)/Slough (UK) /Monheim (Germany) or Raleigh (US), we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of:  L&D partner Digital

 

SCOPE

 

The Learning Partner is the pivotal contact person for the business she/he works with, and provides consultancy services to her/his global, regional, and local business partners. As a trusted partner she/he keeps her/his internal stakeholders up to date with the latest developments in UCB global digital offer, acting as an ambassador for our global UCB digital strategy.

 

The role proactively listens to and captures business needs and assesses whether and/which learning solution can address them, as well as ensures ad-hoc requests are being addressed in a proper fashion.

 

Using captured needs, the Learning Partner ensures that these are met using locally relevant and globally aligned solutions. This encompasses; ideation of how to customize existing global solutions and, where global solutions are unavailable, ideating of new specific solutions. The learning partner then interact with and coordinate the design, development, operations and facilitator teams to create meaningful and effective learning solutions for the business environment.

The Learning Partner reports to the Head of (regional) L&D and supports this person in the management of specific L&D programs of her/his remit, with a clear focus on impact that support the business.

 

You will contribute by:

 

Being the trusted learning partner

 

  • Developing and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships
  • Proactively gathering insights on the stakeholder needs and helping them to identify how and whether learning and development can best support these needs
  • Acting as an ambassador for UCB’s global digital approach - sharing her/his enthusiasm and knowledge of UCB’s learning culture, its current status and developments with stakeholders
  • Updating stakeholders on the latest relevant learning solutions available from the global Learning Experience team and external players, and possibilities to customize for “local” use

 

Ideate and develop proposals for development

 

  • Identify specific learning and development needs where global solutions are unavailable, and communicate this to the wider team for input and co-creation
  • Communicate aligned requirements to global Learning Experience and Learning Operations team

 

Input vision into local learning experience projects end-to-end

 

  • Collaborate with the global Learning Experience team in developing specific projects by contributing knowledge towards:
    • The (learning) needs assessments conducted
    • The design and development of the projects, as they bring them to pilot phase
    • Monitoring that the specific vision is correctly developed into the solutions

 

  • Work closely with the global Learning Operations teams and input expertise and advice towards:
    • The scaling up of projects – change management considerations, business specificity and continuity challenges
    • Assisting by coordinating the smooth implementation of the learning experiences – input on planning, briefing or train-the-trainer of potential facilitator team, troubleshooting, issue management

 

  • Ensure continuous improvement in learning solutions:
    • Work closely with Learning Operations to understand data-led insights on learning experiences
    • Together with the Learning Experience team work on iterations of learning experience according to insights gathered and monitor their correct implementation by Learning Operations.

 

 

Interested?  For this position, you'll need the following educationexperience and skills:

 

  • Ideally bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Psychology, or experience equivalent
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a learning and development, or change management type of role
  • Proven experience working directly with and supporting business partners in Digital Transformations
  • Experience implementing/coordinating projects under global direction and/or in pharma environment is a plus.
