To strengthen our Learning Department, we are looking to fill the position of: Learning Experience Manager (Location: US or Europe)

 

We are looking for a Learning Experience Manager with a passion to create/develop innovative and engaging user-centric learning solutions. These learning solutions will act as a strategic enabler for functional competencies needed within various Commercial and Medical roles at UCB.   The role is critical in ensuring learning at UCB is engaging, immersive, relevant, consistent, creative and aligned with business objectives. The Learning Experience team develops learning assets (workshops, online content, virtual content, etc.)  aligned to the Strategic Learning Plan set out by the Global Head of Learning Experience.  A Learning Experience Manager is responsible for designing and developing innovative and interactive learning solutions that meet the short- and long-term development needs for UCB Sales and Medical teams.

As a Learning Experience Manger, you will contribute by:

  • Translating high-level instructional models into detailed adult instructional designs and content following UCB standards and guidelines that address learning need assessments and secure the best learning outcomes. 
  • Leading adult instructional design projects from test phases through to pilot using agile project management techniques (project validation, deliverables, planning and coordinating); ensure correct handover to Learning Operations for scale-up and implementation; use data-led insights for continuous improvement projects. 
  • Act as a subject matter expert for instructional design and content development staying up-to-date with industry trends and the latest technology and sharing best practices with learning colleagues and the whole of UCB.

 

This position has a remote/work from home option.

 

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

Mimimum Qualifications:

 

  •  Bachelor's Degree
  • Ideal candidates will have experience supporting complex biotech/pharma sales organizations, be familiar with instructional design methods and best practices, and experience creating robust modalities of interactive live, ILVT and remote training interventions.
  • 3+ years of experience in pharma/biotech training and/or instructional design 
  • Sales position held within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven experience and expertise in building/creating impactful adult learning training content in one or more of the following areas: Complex disease states, Pharmaceutical/biotech products, Healthcare landscape (retail practices, hospitals, IDNs/ACOs).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle projects in a matrix organization building relationships to influence people and work well within the team and use exceptional time management skills managing complex projects simultaneously.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Immunology/biologics/dermatology
  • Ability to objectively prioritize business requirements and workload to manage several concurrent projects at any time.
  • Proactive, results-oriented focus towards work and product deliverables.
  • Ability to work comfortably in a deadline-driven environment with multiple priorities; proven ability to prioritize effectively; well-developed time management skills which allow you to manage a project from creation to execution.
  • High level of accountability
