Join UCB: An exciting time to join a great team. To strengthen our Global Team, we are looking for a talented, experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of: Global Marketing Lead.

As the Global Marketing Lead you will be accountable for maximising brand exposure across the US, EU5, Japan and China, executing UCB’s Patient Value Strategy (PVS) for a compound within the Rheumatology market.

  • Take leadership in pre-launch and launch phases, developing 10YP and short-term forecasts
  • Collaborate with Global stakeholders including Medical, Marketing and Market Access to build and deliver integrated value solutions for rheumatology patients and providers
  • Lead and drive implementation of integrated cross-functional business plans including strategic value proposition development that links differentiated clinical data, relevant patient support services, access and marketplace understanding; Development of tailored engagement plans with unique stakeholder types; Monitoring and measurement of key initiatives

 

You will contribute by:

  • Building and leading the development and execution of marketing strategies, tactics and campaigns that drive Launch strategy and readiness, including pre-launch, launch for focused Regions and countries
  • Directly influencing Global Commercialization strategies for Rheumatology, including mid-term (3 Year) and long-term (10 Year) plans
  • Partnership with the Core Launch team, labelling committee, working directly with agency strategy and execution personnel.
  • Successfully conceiving and delivering programs and tactics anchored in patient & stakeholder understanding, developed within marketing principles and with effective metrics for Global brand creation and launch
  • Fostering a deep marketplace understanding to anticipate future trends and adjust PsA and rheumatology strategies accordingly, including go-to market models, pricing and contracting, etc.
  • Creating awareness of UCB solutions – including speakers, Advocacy groups etc. focused on the Immunology patient
  • Working effectively and compliantly per UCB compliance policies – as well as within the regulations and policies established by various regulatory bodies.
  • Applying creativity, innovation & out-of-box thinking to solve complex business / marketplace issues
  • Successfully developing and managing an annual brand budgets; collaborating with functional leadership to ensure financial objectives are met and resources reassigned if required
  • Forecasting and monitoring gross and net sales - conducting channel and payer assessment in line with managed markets strategy to ensure brand contributions are in line with corporate expectations
  • Ensuring that the marketing processes, programs, and internal reports are developed, implemented, and effectively administered to be consistent with UCB’s corporate guidance and all regulatory, legal, ethical SOPs

 

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree/MBA strongly preferred
  • Immunology, rheumatology and launch experience preferred
  • Proven track record and longevity shown working within a pharmaceutical or a Biotechnology company within a Marketing role
  • Knowledge and application of business planning and leadership principles such as data analysis, goal setting, action plans, monitoring tools to develop and implement business plans.
  • Experience with KOL development within a specialty framework desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate effectively in a complex, matrixed commercial environment in partnership with other internal/external commercial stakeholders (sales, managed markets, market research, regulatory, medical affairs, global department, public relations, clinical development, etc.)
  • Experience in product marketing, portfolio marketing/strategy, and development of executable go-to market plans generated from leveraging key customer insights. Experience with qualitative and quantitative market research.
  • Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines and organizational skills to be productive in an environment of competing priorities—ability to multitask with multiple stakeholders while effectively prioritizing.
  • Excellent communication, negotiating, and interpersonal skills for a wide variety of audiences including senior management required.
  • Willingness/ability to travel globally including up to 60% at certain period, as and when it is appropriate to do so.
  • Display excellent business judgement that strongly connect to UCB's core values and beliefs
