SAP Cross Applications Lead


Within the global UCB IT organization, the SAP Center of Excellence plays a crucial role in running UCB’s transactional backbone for Finance & Purchasing, Manufacturing & Labs, and Supply Chain. 
We are looking for a unique individual to strengthen our team. 


As the SAP Cross Applications Lead, you will act as a trusted partner to ensure business continuity, to implement technical projects and support functional ones, to help define the technology roadmap, to ensure compliance in a regulated environment, and to maintain a high level of quality. All these responsibilities converge towards a single objective: improving the lives of our patients.


SAP being UCB’s transactional backbone, you will optimize its usage across the board through automation/industrialization/rationalization, and prepare for S/4HANA to unlock additional value to be harvested by all stakeholders, both business and IT.
The role is based in Braine-l’Alleud, Belgium


Your main responsibilities


As the SAP Cross Applications Lead, you will: 


•    Act as IT System Owner, ensuring that UCB’s SAP ERP systems remain trustworthy/safe/secure/compliant, and maintaining business continuity through system availability.
•    Manage the existing SAP Cross Applications teams (Basis, Development & Innovation, Security & Authorizations) in terms of roadmap, budget, and resources.
•    Drive technological innovation in all SAP ERP matters to ensure UCB keeps benefitting from leading edge technology.
•    Manage technological projects end-to-end, ensuring successful implementation within agreed cost, schedule, and quality targets.
•    Ensure compliance of the solutions to global processes and legal requirements, while following validation guidelines and standard operating procedures.

•    Team leadership abilities, making it possible to coordinate and participate in a collaborative approach to complete tasks.
•    8+ years of technical expertise with SAP ECC (experience with S/4HANA highly desired), project management, people management & development, service management, escalation & conflict management.
•    International exposure, and experience in working with offshore teams.
•    Project management expertise, and proven track record in managing relationships with internal and external partners.
•    Storytelling ability to make effective presentations to diverse groups and facilitate brainstorming sessions.
•    Focused. Decisive. Ability to help/lead teams and business leaders prioritize ideas, distilling them into strategies and tactics.
•    Enjoy working with high energy individuals to solve difference challenges, sometimes in parallel.
