To strengthen our Insights to Impact (I2I) department, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Sales Operations Manager.


As part of UCB’s sustained and strategic commitment to patients, the company will continue to focus on fact-based decision making. To enable this, three Insights-to-Impact functions have been established, which are acting as independent sparring partners to our Go-To-Market, Research & Development and Supply & Technology teams. The I2I functions will be providing insights and drive transversal resource reallocation challenges while performing business planning.


The European I2I Go-To-Market team will contribute to optimization of our regional Performance Management in collaboration with the EU Leadership teams. This will happen through finance business partnering, data driven decision making, European and local generation of insights and competitive intelligence as well as systems and field force operations support.


As the Sales Operations Manager you like to work in an environment where you will: 


  • Being part of and contribute to multiple UCB product launches during the upcoming years
  • Interacting and cooperating with a large variety of management stakeholders across Europe as well as external vendors
  • Driving the design and execution of fundamental business processes and tools regarding Incentive Compensation and Call Planning across Europe
  • Acting as Sales Operations subject matter expert and internal reference


As the Sales Operations Manager, you will contribute by: 


Incentive Compensation management

In general being recognized as a subject matter expert in the field of IC, Reward & Recognition and motivational program design for field based teams



  • IC Philosophy design, Guiding principles & governance, Compensation framework
  • Develop innovative Reward & Recognition concepts where needed beyond existing IC plans to enable behavioral change and process adoption
  • Contribute to Launch Excellence programs linked to existing product pipeline


Design & Implementation

  • Design new Incentive Compensation plans for various field-based stakeholder teams in line with Business & IC strategy
  • Ensure plan alignment between PVUs and geographies where appropriate
  • Develop and implement a communication plan in collaboration with EU Leadership Teams


Health Checks/Analytics

  • Create a consistent view of how customer facing employees & teams are being incentivized across countries / regions and understand if the bonus schemes are motivating and paying for performance
  • Ensure via regular surveys the assessment of the existing IC plan performance
  • Flag to management any divergence from the agreed IC principles in terms of motivation, fairness and target setting and support corrective actions


OmniChannel Cycle Plan (OCCP) management

In general being recognized as a subject matter expert in the field of Call Planning process


Strategy & Design

  • Support the PVU to translate the brand strategy priorities into an operational call plan
  • Be knowledgeable on external benchmarks supporting channel management strategy
  • Act as internal consultant to come up with best call plan generation approach incl. optimization technics (Algorithm/tool related)


Health Checks/Analytics

  • Identify positive and negative relationships between sales and call plan adherence and provide insights to management teams
  • Support the refinement of future call plan´s and inform country leadership teams of the ‘health’ of the OCCP implementation

  • Robust working experience in commercial organizations preferably including pharma
  • Proven Reward & Recognition expertise & knowledge
  • Analytical capabilities
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Interest & experience with technology systems (ex. CRM, Vendor portals) and related applications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to network with various management levels
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, including advanced English language capabilities
  • Team worker
  • Willingness to travel
