The Government Reimbursement Analyst is responsible for validating and accurately processing all Government Contracted payments.


These programs include Medicaid, Medicare Part D Coverage Gap, FSS Industrial Funding Fee, TriCare, and 340b Overcharges.


In all cases, the Government Reimbursement Analyst is responsible for validating the quality of the invoiced data, disputing any aberrations, resolving discrepancies, and processing the payment accurately and on time (within 38 days). 


The Government Reimbursement Analyst is the Point of Contact for the States for Medicaid.  The Analyst is responsible for auditing outstanding Medicaid Rebate Claims and discuss those findings with appropriate States contacts with the intention of resolving any outstanding issues.


The Analyst is responsible for understanding UCB products and dispensing protocol in order to dispute submissions where appropriate.  In addition, the Analyst should be able to review payments and determine aberrations which warrant further inquiry.  This position requires strong communication skills as the Analyst will be working with State, Federal, and Local Government officials as well as UCB internal personnel.    


This position is responsible for creating analysis based on states, products, and programs and sharing that information with management to alert them of any trends or aberrations. 


The Analyst supports government field personnel with product and state specific information; gets involved with original pricing analysis on a quarterly basis as it relates to AMP, BP, NFAMP, & FCP calculations provided to the Federal Government; and performs miscellaneous ad hoc analysis as needed.


Major Accountabilities:

  • Process all Medicaid claims for all States, Programs and Labellers within 38 days
  • Process Coverage Gap payments in 38 day period
  • Process TriCare, IFF, and 340b overcharges within required due date
  • Prior to any payment, the Analyst is responsible to ensure contract terms and conditions are accurate including (but not limited to): Program, Product, Rebate Amount, Formulary position (if applicable). 
  • Key contact with State and Federal agencies to assure compliance with Government Programs
  • Works with management to obtain the proper sign on all payments to Government Programs
  • Analyzes, summarizes and interprets results and makes recommendations regarding the need to dispute any submission.
  • Writes or drafts correspondence, reports, documents and/or other written materials to internal and external customers.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines, etc.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Perform related duties as assigned




  • BS in Finance, Accounting, or analytical related field
  • 2 years of experience is preferred, but new college graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Working knowledge of Government regulations pertaining to Federal and State programs is preferred



  • Computer skills: MS Office Suite with focus on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid 10 key capabilities
  • Understanding of contract terms and conditions
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Knowledge of systems and software sufficient to provide guidance to Information Management associates in selecting and properly utilizing software required for government pricing, reporting, and rebate preparation
  • Use of automated software applications
  • Knowledge/experience with SAP (or other ERP system) is preferred
  • Detail oriented and diligent in following up on issues

  • Must be extremely detailed and multi-task oriented
