Help us transform patients' lives.

At UCB, we put our heart, soul, and skills into making a difference for people living with severe disease. Working together to push the boundaries, we blend the best of our talents to unlock innovation.  Will you join us in our pioneering adventure?

Our ways of working - Collaboration and agility are critical ways of working

Our cultural transformation focuses on some fundamental changes with the patient and their needs at the center of everything we do. This transformation is guided by four operating principles that inform how we operate and help each other sharing the accountability to serve the patients and their families:

  • Task to Value – Working on what makes most sense in the context of patient value creation, avoiding working on automatic pilot and performing tasks that may not add significant value or may be the way we always did things.  Challenging ourselves and others in shifting from Task to Value.
  • Noise to Signal – Identifying and using relevant patient insights to guide our choices, ensuring we invest time and effort in the context of what our customers’ needs and wishes are. Gaining a deep understanding of the patient reality and local ecosystem challenges.
  • Helpfulness & Generosity – Together we are more powerful.  Collaborating internally and externally in the most efficient and effective manner.  Helping and contributing where you can make the biggest impact.  Keeping our purpose (creating patient value) above any perceived organizational constraints.
  • Space with Consistency – Creating the conditions for others to thrive, creating the space to allow all colleagues to express their unique talent whilst maintaining the boundaries in line with our strategy and strategic choices.  Taking the initiative to test, fail fast and learn, in a safe and trusting working environment.
