Market Access Marketing Lead

UCB is seeking an experienced pharmaceutical marketing professional as a key member of our Market Access Marketing team. Experience in market access marketing, payer account management and/or brand marketing is preferred. The Market Access Marketing Lead will deliver patient value through the creation, approval and dissemination of market access tactics, tools and resources supporting the payer account management field teams. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders from the Market Access & Pricing, Neurology and Immunology business units as well as other internal matrix partners to ensure seamless communication and alignment. This position will be focused on optimizing brand access opportunities across multiple channels (Health plan, PBM, Specialty Pharmacy, GPO) and segments. 

Summary of Essential Job Responsibilities.


1) Evolve the payer value proposition for UCB brands
• Continuously champion the value proposition/story for UCB’s products and solutions
• Support evolution of the real-world evidence and health economics and outcomes research to enhance the payer value proposition/story
• In collaboration with Account Management, develop relationships with formulary decision makers and incorporate customer needs into market access marketing plans
• Gather insights on patient needs, key payer partners’ needs, and products/disease states, leading market research, ad-boards, and field insight meetings
• Determine resources needed to ensure favorable placement of launch and commercialized products with Pharmacy Directors, Medical Directors and other key formulary decision makers within the identified channels and segment


2) Develop innovative and impactful access resources and solutions
• Develop marketing materials for field-based teams to demonstrate the differentiated value of UCB products and solutions for patients
• Develop marketing materials to support pull-through of access with field sales teams
• Manage agency partners for creation of access materials and affordability solutions for on-time delivery and within scope/budget
• Ensure appropriate co-creation and reviews of materials
• Continuously measure and report the impact of market positioning and promotional materials and adjust as necessary


3) Build strong internal and external relationships
• Appropriately prioritize needs across business units and create a “joined up” approach with business partners to support the access and affordability strategy
• Manage all workstreams in conjunction with the external agencies and vendor partners
• Build effective working relationships with key external consultants
• Lead and/or participate in various projects that support UCB’s access strategy


4) Provide internal insights, guidance and leadership as a market access subject matter expert
• Provide the aligned Payer Strategy Team perspective across the organization for real-time Market Access landscape, trends and strategic approach
• Prepare for environment changes that impact key partners and products within area of responsibility
• Support business units by providing pricing updates, formulary updates, market access results and other key insights into the payer landscape, needs, and thought processes

Minimum Requirements:

• MS/MBA highly desired; BS/BA or equivalent minimum
• 5-10 years of relevant pharmaceutical / healthcare experience (including biologics or pharmaceuticals) in brand marketing
• Market access, payer/channel marketing, or related experience highly desirable
• Prior experience in marketing or account management for payers is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated effectiveness working with cross functional teams
• Position is based in Atlanta, Georgia
• 10% Travel
