The Market Access Operations Specialist will partner with the Market Access & Pricing Teams and UCB Business Units and play a key role in helping UCB achieve its corporate priorities. This marketing and strategy professional will be part of a collaborative team of like-minded individuals focused around developing and supporting UCB’s Market Access strategies, tactics and resources to support our annual access and performance objectives.

The Market Access Operations Specialist is part of the Market Access and Payer Value Strategy Team and reports to the Head of Market Access Operations. This position is based in Atlanta, GA.

 

Accountabilities include:

 

  • Establish and build partnerships with UCB business units and key stakeholders demonstrating an understanding of internal customer needs and business objectives
  • Liaise across UCB’s Market Access & Pricing Team, Business Units, and other matrix teams to ensure seamless alignment, planning, and communication of payer insights and market planning
  • Work with Market Access Teams (Payer Value Strategy, Contracting, and Field Account Teams) to provide operational support for product launches and pull-through planning for existing brands
  • Work cross-functionally with MAP Strategy, analytics, and Field Account Teams to ensure success against priority objectives and KPIs
  • Lead the planning for priority Congress & Industry Meetings and serve as the liaison with internal business units for overlap meeting opportunities
  • Manage and regularly report on budget planning, including partnerships and consultants, to ensure timely purchase order issuance, statement of work planning and vendor management
  • Initiate and lead select projects within Market Access and coordinate with overlapping business units to successful completion and timely implementation
  • Lead the planning and execution of internal Market Access & Pricing meetings, conference calls and business reviews with the Payer Value Strategy, Contracts & Pricing and Field Account Teams  
  • Assist in the development and management of Performance updates and Dashboards. Deliver ad hoc reports and updates to support business planning. Proactively identify additional data sources and business information
  • Identify operational improvements to enhance overall Market Access efficiencies and impact on Home Office and Field based Account Teams
  • Participate in the development of MAP Operational strategies and resources for portfolio and launch products assessing business opportunities and impact on UCB access and affordability
  • Serve as a link between Payer Value & Strategy, Field Account Teams, and Squad Teams to support strategic planning, resource development, and rapidly incorporate planning into business priorities
  • Coordinate the implementation of materials to be used with priority payer customers and business channels. Align with MAP Marketing on priorities, timelines, and budget needs

 

As a Market Access team member, you will:

 

  • Maintain a compliant mindset to ensure all operational initiatives and projects are inline with UCB Policies and Guidelines
  • Serve as a business partner for the Market Access Team across the organization for Market Access strategy, resources, and landscape discussions
  • Possess a strong understanding of the Market Access landscape, key Books of Business, priority National, Regional and Specialty payers, and overall access planning
  • Maintain Budget spend and forecast planning

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Life Science, Business, or Healthcare related field
  • Minimum 3+ years experience; pharmaceutical, biotech industry, healthcare, Managed Care experience preferred
  • Prior experience working with internal stakeholders including operations, market access, marketing, sales, legal, and compliance
  • Experience managing agencies of record to deliver plans, projects and/or resources on time and on budget
  • Strong experience managing multiple priorities and projects with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to groups and lead discussions
