To strengthen our Supply Chain Process Improvement & Compliance Team, based in Braine, Belgium we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Compliance Officer.

 

As Compliance Officer, you will ensure compliance to UCB, pharmaceutical industry regulations and ways of working within the area of Braine Technical Operations (BTO) Supply.  

 

You will more precisely contribute by:

 

  • Being a representative of BTO Supply for (non)-compliance problems and assist in their resolution while participating in the definition and follow-up of the action plan

 

  • Supporting BTO Supply teams in the process of investigations using TrackWise (QMS Sofwtare) and becoming a key user of the system in order to support the colleagues while needed

 

  • Ensuring awareness and close follow-up of compliance topics/issues in BTO Supply:
    • Making timely reports on deviations, investigations, CAPAs, action items, trainings late and orchestrating the discussion on the level of BTO Supply staff
    • Management of Risk register for BTO Supply

 

  • Taking a role of training power user:
    • Ensure the accordance of BTO Supply training matrix and job descriptions, take actions for the necessary updates.
    • Facilitate updates and creations of training plans for BTO Supply
    • Ensure compliance to UCB regulations regarding the job descriptions namely the update of job descriptions, archive of job descriptions and management of signature register

 

  • Take a role of document management coordinator (via Source CD software) in BTO Supply:
    • Ensure good document management by supervising document creation, updates and lifecycle
    • Verify the properties of each document
    • Manage the lifecycle of the documents
    • Initiate the workflows of review and approval
    • Change the statute to effective
    • Initiate periodic reviews if applicable
    • Distribute and archive the documents

 

  • Assist managers in BTO Supply with the following administrative tasks:
    • Order of computers, badges etc. for the newcomers
    • Organizational announcements
    • Office supplies
    • Organize team meetings/events

 

  • Support back-office in case of internal or external audits

 

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • At least 2 - 3 years of experience in a similar role or in QA within the pharma sector or related domains
  • Experience in 5S is a plus
  • Experience in Root Cause Analysis is a plus
  • Excellent command in French (Braine working language) and English

 

Soft skills:

  • Autonomy in own operations, structure and self-organization
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to challenge the status-quo and do continuous improvement
  • Affinity with systems and standardization
