Job Description 

Within the global UCB IT organization, the eConnectivity department is responsible for driving, executing and improving the network strategy.  

To strengthen our global and cross-functional eConnectivity team in Braine L’alleud, Belgium, we are looking for a Service Manager to join our team.  


Your main responsibilities 

As Service Manager, you will:  

  • Driving and/or suggest improvements for a qualitative global network 

  • Ensure that policies, processes, procedures and documentation are in place to transition to an operational environment. 

  • Assess and lead operational improvements between our internal (off shore team) and external stakeholders (eg. vendors) 

  • Responsible for designing and improving service management for the eConnectivity team   

  • Provide oversight on the implementation of the agreed services levels, ensure that the agreed SLAs are respected, and performance is measured and managed 

  • Establish and maintain strong, strategic relationships and governance for the network services to assure stable and cost-efficient services. 

  • Managing and coordinating requests for resources. Those resources may include people, environments, hardware and software licences. 

  • Monitor, control and support service delivery. Ensuring service, methodologies and procedures are in place to support them

  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related degree. We select on skills and capabilities, not on degree alone! 

  • You have 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience. 

  • You’re fluent in English. 

  • You are customer oriented, with excellent communication skills, capable to defend your ideas, but open to listen to others as well. 

  • You’re able to set priorities 

  • You’re eager to learn and you have a huge appetite for innovative technologies and changing trends in the market. 

  • You have a positive mindset 

  • You’re a team player and solution mindset
