To strengthen our Facility Management Department, based in our hub in Braine l’Alleud, Belgium, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Financial Liaison.


As a Financial Liaison you will Liaise the Facility Management Department Braine with the Financial Department regarding the end-to-end process from ordering to invoicing in order to maximize the service level while streamlining support, managing operational processes and deliver reporting.

  • Promote and demonstrate a Safe, Lean and Green mindset across the Braine Facilities department and beyond, while maintaining our high Quality standards.


You will contribute by:

  • Optimizing the way of working, giving advice to Braine Facilities Manager in day to day process.
  • Implementing relevant and consistent metrics enabling monitoring and continuous improvement of our financial processes.
  • Being the interface between our Finance Business Partner and our Braine Facility Manager in order to follow the OPEX BUDGET and also acting as liaison between our Engineering PMO and our portfolio local Facilities Braine to follow the Capex budget & APR’s approved.
  • Supporting economical and financial strategy through a management philosophy of full accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Supporting partners of team members (in collaboration with the responsible Braine Facilities manager) to provide all the indicators, collect data needed to review the activities (reports, annual evolution, expenses by nature, possibility of extension of scope of activity, etc.).
  • Developing a strong relationship with Braine Facility Management main Partners and stakeholders. Liaise with counterparts on other UCB sites in order to share and harmonize best practices.


Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting.
  • Must be proficient in a Windows environment, especially Excel and Word.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated successful experience in finance support roles.
  • Ability to understand UCB, Patient Value Supply & Technology Solutions and Global Facilities vision, mission and strategy and translate into Braine Facility Management communication.
  • Excellent communication skills in order to coordinate, to energize and to communicate with all stakeholders (internal/external customers & suppliers, Senior Management, etc.).
  • Strong sense of operational priorities and ability to balance day-to-day priorities with longer term improvement initiatives and projects.
  • Excellent understanding of facilities processes and good knowledge of interactions between functions.
  • Business acumen and sound understanding of financial reporting (Opex, Capex).
  • Analytical and synthetic view.
  • Problem solving and adaptability skills.
  • Languages: French (C1) and English (B1-B2).
