To strengthen our Global Supply Chain Standardization and Optimization team, based in our hub in Braine l’Alleud, Belgium, we are looking to fill the position of: Head of GSC E2E Business Processes.

As a UCB 'helpfulurist' and Head of GSC E2E Business Processes you like to work in an environment where you can:


Tailor the most appropriate process that can be embraced by the organization to achieve management objectives.

Be the chief architect, the teacher, the conductor/orchestrator and, when required, the enforcer of the S&OP process.

Lead the synchronization of the E2E Supply Chain from demand to delivery .


As a UCB 'helpfulurist' and Head of GSC E2E Business Processes you will contribute by:


Building a strong Global process owner (GPO) community who will be the architect of the GSC main processes E2E.

Supporting the Global Supply Chain transformation program with valuable and indepth involvement in the solution creation and implementation.

Driving consistency through a strong governance process. This process should include councils or forums with a cross-section of leaders and executives to define shared direction and list of priorities for a more integrated planning processes.

Facilitating business process innovation/continuous improvement and evolving the global process and application configuration to achieve business objectives and alignment towards best practices.

Designing lean, efficient end-to-end integrated business processes for prioritized areas and deliver appropriate training to the Functional Expert community.

Developing a standard process for S&OP and skills/training of stakeholders to ensure that the process defined and agreed is implemented and run as prescribed in the various regions, business units and product groups.

Actively leading the global Supply Planning community of practice - facilitate and influence functional and application experts to share learnings, deliver business benefits and drive business improvements through Supply Planning effectiveness.

Providing in-depth business process and application knowledge, defining and documenting the business processes and data definitions supported by the Supply Planning application solution portfolio.

Ensuring and maintaining process and portfolio consistency with related business processes and application solutions (ERP/SAP, Reporting, APS/OMP+, TMS).

Ensuring the roles and responsibilities are comprehensive and clear for governance, change management, orchestration and execution. 

Designing harmonized, collaborative and formal processes from forecasting to execution, including accountability, policies, standard meeting practices and cycle, governance and escalation rules.

Bringing outside/in best practices and challenging status quo and exploring new planning technics such as DDMRP.



Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:


Master’s Degree – Business administration, Projects and/or Supply Chain

Minimum 10 years experience in Supply Chain with deep knowledge of main Supply Chain processes-S&OP, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory management and optimization, Distribution and logistics, Customer service

Experience in Pharma Industry or Food Industry.

Broad understanding of interdependencies between functions and the associated cause-and-effect relationship.

Good understanding of Operation Excellence tools and methodology.

Strong orientation toward end-to-end process performance.

In-depth understanding of strategic business goals and objectives.

In-depth understanding of demand and supply planning.

Understanding of financial planning.

Proven experience in process definition and implementation, as well as in change management.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate to technical and nontechnical audiences.

Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, as well as strong skills as a negotiator to reach consensus, buy-in and commitment.

Deep understanding of technology enablement and current technology tools.
