To strengthen our GSC Standards and Optimization Team, based in our hub in Braine l’Alleud, Belgium, we are looking to fill the position of: Head of Supply Chain Data Management.

As a UCB 'analytegic' person and Head of Supply Chain Data Management you like to work in an environment where you can:

• Establish and ensure adherence to a Supply Chain data governance framework for data policies, standards and practices, both at the department and Business and Functional areas level

• Achieve the required level of consistency, quality, and protection to meet overall business needs. the scope is defined as all the data that are necessary to support the entire value chain of a product (SCOR model).

• Leads the Supply Chain Data Governance Board with the purpose to align with the head of E2E processes, head of data & analytics, head of QA SC, head of system architecture and IT. 


As a UCB 'analytegic' person and Head of Supply Chain Data Management, you will contribute by: 
• Supporting the GSC organization to set up the right foundations for a digitalization journey.

• Defining policies, standards and controls to manage data quality and integrity covering the data lifecycle

• Defining roles and translates them across data functions into the concrete organizational structure

• Describing the skills and RACI for the entire community concerned by data quality  

• Ensuring the right systems are in place to manage the data, use them, extract them and analyze them.

• Ensuring that the SC data strategy is aligned with the business strategy  

• Defining the SC data management roadmap

 

Ensuring that the Data stewards are delivering on:

• Developing the data governance, the business processes (for data creation, modification, discontinuation) which help to ensure the formal management of data assets within his scope, regardless where it is created, used and stored.  

• Defining and document data and terminology in a relevant glossary with the relevant Business Domain Data Steward. This includes ensuring that each critical data element has a clear definition and the application of data rules.

• Establishing data-quality metrics and requirements, including defining the values, ranges, and parameters that are acceptable for each data element.

• Establishing procedures for the detection and correction of data-quality issues.

• Ensuring communication and training to main stakeholders across the organization to improve the data literacy of staff.

• Monitoring adherence to the defined process.

• Facilitating new data-driven opportunities for improvement 

• Managing of the MDM database.  

• Creating codes for global pharmaceutical commercial products + late-phase development products.  


Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills: 
• Master's degree in data science, data analytics, or other relevant areas 

• Experience in a multinational/multicultural working environment

• 7+ years of experience across a broad range of data systems, architecture, and application components & processes across the entire data value chain - including data warehouses, data lakes, big data, ETL, data modeling, database administration, security, user interface, reporting & analysis.

• Experience in implementing a data management strategy across the large organization globally, including places with low resources and intermittent connectivity

• Experience solving complex data problems and delivering business values and efficiency

• Experience implementing, managing and setting the vision for data and business analytics roadmap

• Experience managing a team of technical and functional staff and working in a matrix environment

• Creative thinker with excellent interpersonal, collaboration, & communication skills at all levels, including data professionals, business stakeholders & senior executives
