To strengthen our Global Quality Assurance department, based in Braine l’Alleud, Belgium, we are looking to fill the position of: Partner Quality Learning.

As a UCB Partner Quality Learning you like to work in an environment where you can:

  • Operate globally across all UCB Sites and departments requiring GxP learning and leanring in quality-related topics.
  • Assure that UCB personnel can receive the requisite knowledge, guidance and experience related to GxPs to fulfill their job responsibilities in accordance with UCB quality standards, guidelines, SOPs and applicable regulatory requirements.

This requires identification of learning needs, developing training strategy, developing training material together with Subject Matter Experts, coordinating with the Learning Management System team, communicating and liaising with training vendors.



As a UCB Partner Quality Learning, you will contribute by:

  • Develop learning strategy in collaborating with Development Solutions & Corporate/local Quality teams/Regulatory Intelligence Network and their business partners to ensure that GxP learning solutions are being developed and implemented.
  • Lead Learning needs analysis and facilitate the development and implementation of learning solutions and associated activity-based curricula.
  • Creating, managing and updating training courses on GxP, Global Quality Management Processes and any other medical, safety, regulatory, clinical & quality-related-topics, as online modules, gamification, virtual training, as well as instructor-led modules.
  • Manage vendors and budget associated with defined learning strategy.
  • Defining, organizing or giving support for global training events such as large group training structured training sequences (inc. blended training)
  • Proactively reviewing learning solutions on an ongoing basis to ensure that they are relevant for the purpose intended and do not conflict with regulations, SOPs or guidelines.
  • Ensuring the training library is maintained at the ECMS and LMS Level.
  • Improving effectiveness of training using appropriate evaluation methods and tools.
  • Defining selection criteria for external providers/trainers.
  • Providing guidance and support to line managers in determining learning needs and in improving training efficiency (learning culture).
  • Being a promoter of the Quality Culture


Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree, master's preferred
  • Experience of working in a training capacity of minimum of 3-5 years
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience within GxP environment
  • Good understanding of clinical development & quality aspects, knowledge of GxP and applicable regulatory framework.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry especially in the area of training including knowledge of tools and methodology e.g., adult learning principles, e-learning, instructional design.
  • Excellent leadership skills and experience in managing teams particularly within multi-cultural and virtual environments.
  • Ability to lead projects and meet project-and-team related timelines and managed allocated budget(s).
  • Ability to work strategically and to influence individuals via networking without a direct reporting relationship.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills in English. Additional languages are an asset
  • Energetic, open communication style, good judgement, tactful and diplomatic, with good interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective cross-functional relationships.
  • Strong organization/planning and coordinating skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask, with the proven ability to take initiative and to work under pressure while maintaining good decision-making capabilities
  • Must have the creativity to create interesting and stimulating learning experiences for adult learners
  • Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Authoring tool (Articulate mainly), LMS reporting functionalities (Success Factor) and have the ability to analyze the data and information
  • Adaptable at handling and coordinating multiple demands in order to effectively coordinate and harmonize working practices with continued oversight of training materials
  • Ability to analyze training audience and possess the skill to adapt training offering based on audience needs.
  • Ability to take instructions with minimal supervision, with autonomy in organizing work and time schedules
