To strengthen our Operational excellence & PMO team, based in our hub in Braine, Belgium, we are looking to fill the position of: Operational Excellence Coordinator.

As a UCB ' energanized ' person and Operational Excellence Coordinator you like to work in an environment where you can:
• Be responsible for improving operational performance in production, through the use of Lean - 6 Sigma principles, practices, and techniques

• Deploy the Operational Excellence model and culture

• Be an individual contributor and work collaboratively, in several Production areas, with Production operators, technicians, engineers and managers

• Be part of a community of Operational Excellence professionals to further develop your competencies

 

As a UCB 'energanized' person and Operational Excellence Coordinator you will contribute by:
• Working on the shop floor to influence the organizational culture regarding continuous improvement and the pursuit of Operational Excellence

• Leading or executing improvement initiatives

• Training and Coaching on Operational Excellence matters, incl. Lean - 6 Sigma

• Reporting on Operational Excellence progress and related Performance Indicators

• Ensuring proper functional analysis to identify improvement opportunities in order to increase Business and Customer satisfaction

 

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:
• Master’s degree in Sciences or Engineering

• 5-year experience in Manufacturing (shop floor)

• Experience with some of these tools: Root Cause Analysis, OEE, Tiered Meeting, Kaizen, 5S, DMAIC project, SMED, Pareto, Value Stream Mapping

• Green Belt certification 

• Analytical: comfortable solving business problems and questions using data, working with numbers and drawing conclusions/finding patterns 

• Result oriented: converting analyses into tangible results in line with business targets

• Pragmatic

• Pro-active attitude, autonomy

• Good interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with the different stakeholders, from shop floor to management

• Authentic and humble

• Ability to communicate in French and English with stakeholders or team members (minimum B2 level)

• Ability to help teams prioritize ideas, distilling them into actionable delivery plans

• Good change agent

• Good coach and trainer

• Project team leadership skills
