To strengthen our Operational excellence & PMO team, based in our hub in Braine, Belgium, we are looking to fill the position of: Operational Excellence Coordinator.

As a UCB 'stragile' person and Operational Excellence Coordinator you like to work in an environment where you can:
• Be responsible for improving operational performance through the use of Lean - 6 Sigma principles, practices, and techniques

• Deploy the Operational Excellence model and culture which consists in preparing the future by reaching the operational goals defined by the hierarchy and the functional services in the scope of the vision and the missions of Operational Excellence set out by the company
As a UCB 'stragile' person and Operational Excellence Coordinator you will contribute by:
• Ensuring proper functional analysis to identify improvement opportunities in order to increase Business and Customer satisfaction

• Leading or executing improvement initiatives (DMAIC projects, Kaizen, …)

• Training and Coaching Green Belts, Yellow Belts, Managers and Stakeholders on Operational Excellence matters, incl. Lean 6 Sigma

• Working on the shop floor to influence the organizational culture regarding continuous improvement and the pursuit of Operational Excellence

• Reporting on Operational Excellence progress and Performance Indicators

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:
• Master’s degree

• Relevant experience as Green Belt 

• 5-year experience in Manufacturing (shop floor), ideally in Packaging operations

• 1-year experience in Pharmaceutical Industry

• Analytical: comfortable solving business problems and questions using data, working with numbers and drawing conclusions/finding patterns 

• Result oriented: converting analyses into tangible results in line with business strategy

• Pragmatic

• Ability to help business leaders prioritize ideas, distilling them into actionable delivery plans

• Pro-active attitude, autonomy

• Good interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with the different stakeholders, from shop floor to top management

• Authentic and humble

• Ability to communicate in French and English with stakeholders or team members (minimum B2 level)

• Excellent change agent

• Excellent coach and trainer

• Collaborative

• Project team leadership skills
