HSE Compliance Specialist


As the successful candidate for this key role, you will oversee the HSE management system and ensure Bulle site HSE compliance versus internal and external requirements and standards. The incumbent will report to the Head of HSE Bulle and will have these main responsibilities amongst others:

Overview of key activities:

  • Ensure that a consistent, robust and efficient HSE management system is in place and properly implemented within the Bulle site
  • Lead, develop and maintain the legal and regulatory register up-to-date to ensure Bulle site Compliance with all applicable requirements and standards
  • Assure HSE training programs are in order, to ensure competencies and awareness availability
  • Improve and/or maintain HSE documentation management system
  • Conduct internal/external/third parties HSE audit programs and plans
  • Pilot ISO 14001/ OHSAS 18001 related programs to maintain site certifications
  • Promote HSE culture and mind-set at site level
  • Actively support senior management and HSE manager in driving and continuously developing the HSE culture
  • Actively contribute to the global HSE performance of the site as well as HSE compliance

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor degree or other relevant university diplomas in HSE
  • Proven record of knowledge of Swiss HSE regulations
  • Minimum of 2 years’ professional experience in a similar HSE position
  • Excellent command of written and spoken French and English, (German an advantage) Proven knowledge of HSE management systems, OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001 standards
  • Proven knowledge of auditing
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an effective team player who can engender credibility and confidence within a matrix organization
  • Result driven, business orientated and energetic self-starter with strong operating skills and a sense of urgency
  • Able to balance objective analysis and intuitive decision making tailored to specific circumstances
  • Solid project management and relationship builder skills to overcome complex and multidimensional business challenges
  • Ability to articulate compelling ideas and information in a clear, inspirational and pragmatic manner
