To strengthen our Drug Development Team based in our Cambridge, MA office we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of Research Associate/Scientist.

 

As a Research Associate/Scientist you will be responsible for developing assays and executing experiments primarily in support of early drug discovery activities and late-stage programs. The ideal candidate will be experienced in developing cell-based and biochemical assays for mechanistic characterization of therapeutic targets and drug candidates.

 

You like to work in an environment where you can:

  • Explore questions using cell-based assays and biochemical advances in early-stage development.
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems to accomplish common goals cross-functionally.

 

You will contribute by:

  • Leveraging your experience with cell and tissue culture techniques and gene expression analysis, western blotting, and immunocytochemistry/ immunofluorescence with our experienced team.
  • Utilize your recent and relevant work with in vitro pharmacology assays including designing and analyzing dose response experiments.
  • Be part of an incredible team developing new treatments in rare disease – changing the world!

 

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS or MS degree in biology, pharmacology or a related discipline with 5-7 years of industry experience.
  • Extensive experience with cell and tissue culture techniques and gene expression analysis, western blotting, and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence.
  • Strong knowledge of in vitro pharmacology assays including designing and analyzing dose response experiments.
  • Experience developing biochemical assays to characterize protein binding kinetics or enzymatic activity.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to solve technical problems with enthusiasm in a team environment.
  • Must be a flexible and detail-oriented bench scientist eager to work in a collaborative environment while having the ability to work independently.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
