Position Description

The Senior Manager / Associate Director of Global Marketing will be a key member of the global team that brings our important Myasthenia gravis drug to the market and will have the opportunity to make a broad impact across a growing commercial organization.  This role will be responsible for gathering insights, developing strategies, and executing tactics to support a best-in-class global launch.  Analytical thinking, strong project management, and a creative can-do approach are a must.  This role will report to the Vice President of Global Marketing and Insights while working in a cross-functional matrix environment.

  • Contribute to the development of the gMG launch plan
  • Development and introduce personal and non-personal, print and digital promotional material
  • Develop messaging that supports disease and brand positioning
  • Drive launch tracking and identify critical success metrics
  • Collaborate and manage external advertising agency of record and other vendors
  • Foster collaborative relationships with Medical, Legal, Regulatory, Training, Sales, KOLs, etc


You will contribute by:

  • Completing market landscapes and commercial opportunity assessments
  • Conducting market research (primary and secondary) to maximize promotional efforts
  • Identify, develop, and deliver actionable insights
  • Develop dashboards and templates to track business performance
  • Monitor & report on competitive activities [in accordance with Ra Pharma code of conduct]
  • Develop presentations for Senior Leadership Team (SLT), including quarterly business reviews
  • Manage and track budget to support various Marketing activities


Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree required (with emphasis in Business, Life Sciences, or Finance). MBA, advanced degree or other equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, including involvement in commercial activities (market development, marketing, analytics, sales)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop key messaging for internal and external stakeholders utilizing complex clinical or business data
  • Track record of high business impact via problem solving and operational excellence
  • Experience with market research methods and secondary data sources


Strongly Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in rare disease or targeted/precision medicine preferred
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal oversight and direction, to anticipate needs from leadership and other stakeholders, and to balance multiple and often diverse priorities in order to align on a strategic and appropriate plan
  • Proven track record of working in a nimble, dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively, influence without direct authority, and foster strong partnerships
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to present complex and technical ideas and concepts both verbally and written to multiple stakeholder audiences
  • Must have proficiency with Outlook calendar, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, and a general facility for information technology and for learning new software
  • Required Travel: ~20-30%
