To strengthen our Dermatology team, based in any country of Northern Europe area, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of:

 

Field Medical Lead Northern Europe, Dermatology

 

The Field Medical Lead will lead a therapeutically aligned Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Team and provide executive medical presence, leadership, coaching, and accountability to drive individual and team results.

 

As a Field Medical Lead Dermatology, your key accountability is the leadership of Medical Science Liaison for consistency & excellence of their capability and plans across the ecosystem & the area/country; and the line management of MSL teams.

  • Lead and inspire the MSLs team in your respective country/area: recruitment, onboarding, development, performance review, mentoring and management.
  • Collaborating on the field medical strategic roadmap and ensuring qualitative execution of the strategy by delivering on group and individual metrics for your team.
  • Offer cross functional input into country TA strategy and ecosystem plans.

 

 

You will contribute by:

 

  • Lead, inspire, and model cooperative teamwork behaviours that enables their MSL team to be accountable for creating (in collaboration with the local cross functional therapeutic area team) & coordinating medical strategies and executing tactics independently as part of the medical function.
  • Develop & implement aligned MSL training curriculums in partnership with the Medical strategic Lead, local L&D partner, GMA and EU medical.
  • Define goals/priorities/KPIs for the MSLs together with Ecosystem Lead and request feedback for performance review.
  • Ensure implementation of local field medical plan and monitoring of performance vs. objectives.
  • Coach and model high impact medical engagement, delivery and scientific & clinical differentiation of TA/asset value proposition.
  • Alignment & cross-functional collaboration within the ecosystem team so that MSLs are empowered to be the medical leaders of the field ecosystem.
  • Ensure goals are accomplished within boundaries established by regulatory, legal and compliance in accordance with company policies, processes and sound ethical practices.
  • Provide key input for medical/MSL plans execution for ensuring the best leverage of medical engagements and customer facing tactics and in a compliant manner.
  • Resource optimization & effectiveness
  • Effective implementation of Global MSL Excellence capability framework that result in consistent, valued outcomes and maximum in-country impact.
  • Monitor local healthcare environment and share insights with GMA to evolve Global MSL Excellence capability framework.
  • Source, interpret & share insights and local gaps/needs to inform global/regional field medical excellence plans and deliverables.

 

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

 

  • Demonstrated Medical affairs experience
  • Leadership skills in managing, developing, coaching and influencing teams in matrix environment.
  • Relevant therapeutic area experience is a plus.
  • Educational background: Phd, Pharma or MD degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Biology, Pharma, preferred.
  • Demonstrated strength in strategic medical planning, tactical plan development and implementation.
  • Digital Literacy.
  • Demonstrated negotiation, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Scientific Acumen and ability to translate scientific and clinical data into value proposition for the different stakeholders.
  • Business Acumen and Focus on delivering customer value and impact.
  • Medical governance and compliance skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills including networking and presentation skills.
  • Languages: full professional proficiency in English (both oral and written).
  • Willingness to travel extensively, both nationally and internationally.
