To strengthen our National Health & Access Group, we are looking to fill the position of: Health & Access Partner – North East.


The Opportunity:

As the Healthcare and Access Partner, you will implement sales, marketing and market access strategy to maintain and expand sales for UCB’s portfolio.


You will facilitate the development of a broad and deep network of relationships within targeted accounts that may include a diverse base of customers such as clinicians, pharmacists, procurement, hospital trust executives, nurses, specialist GPs and payer groups.


Acting as the face of UCB's Dermatology team in agreed accounts, you’ll be responsible for delivering the business objectives for UCB’s medicines.


About the Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Aligning the UCB business objectives with local and national NHS policy.
  • Securing agreement for product funding and optimum positioning within the local health economy.
  • Enhancing patient care and helping achieve UCB’s business objectives by recognising that higher cost branded medicines require cohesive clinical-commercial discussions across the account; this also encompasses the Individual Funding Request processes.
  • Working closely with the wider commercial organisation to develop and execute BII-region specific commercial strategies based on local nuances.
  • Sharing and developing best practices from the wider UCB and within the Dermatology Franchise.


About You

You should have/be:

  • Experienced in pharmaceutical sales, access roles or NHS management.
  • Knowledge and experience of relevant disease areas.
  • Experienced in business planning, business case development as well as the experience and knowledge of funding pathways and processes for higher cost branded medicines.
  • Successful track record in account/project management along with influencing key NHS customers.
  • Able to demonstrate National &local NHS knowledge; with detailed product and competitor knowledge.
  • Able to demonstrate high levels of personal integrity, ethics and professionalism.
