To strengthen our Patient Safety Department, based in Bulle, Switzerland, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Local Safety Officer.

As a Local Safety Officer, you will be part of the Patient Safety team in charge of the respect of the pharmacovigilance systems to sustain public health and maintain compliance. Your proven expertise in a similar position on the Swiss market makes you a key player to support our activities.

You like to work in an environment where you can:

  • Have the exciting challenge, to be the UCB representative for pharmacovigilance in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
  • Be part of an ambitious and strong local pharmacovigilance team covering the DACH region.
  • Collaborate with both local and global teams to ensure the safe use of UCB’s products for our patients.

 

You will contribute by:

  • Overseeing the Pharmacovigilance system in the Swiss Affiliate.
  • Maintaining thorough knowledge of the local pharmacovigilance regulatory requirements and landscape as well as proactively monitoring for emerging regulations and communicate such to corporate teams.
  • Providing input into global/local processes to secure compliance.
  • Working in close collaboration with corporate Safety team to ensure that local obligations are managed and compliance to local authorities is maintained.
  • Performing root cause analysis ensuring timely management of deviations and risk mitigations by defining appropriate CAPAs.
  • Participating in and managing pharmacovigilance audits and inspections.

 

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

  • Qualified to bachelor’s degree (medical and/or pharmaceutical background is a plus).
  • Proven Pharmacovigilance experience with an in-depth knowledge of associated regulatory requirements in Switzerland.
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks within assigned objectives to aim for compliance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, especially in individual leadership and adaptability.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and influence in matrix organization at the Affiliate.
  • Team working and networking promoter.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, analyze and summarize scientific and medical information.
  • Problem solving, as well as solid foundation for quick and sound decision making based on limited information.
  • Languages: French & English (written and spoken), German is a plus.
