To strengthen our Immunology department in The Netherlands, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of:


Field Access Manager Immunology, Netherlands


As a Field Access Manager Immunology, Netherlands you will amplify and strengthen the matching of UCB therapeutic options with appropriate patients in employing strong collaborative relationships and targeted approach to key access Stakeholders.


You like to work in the field in an environment where you can:


  • Builds long term strategic relationships with key regional or local decision makers, buyer groups, HICs or other budget holders, focusing on creating winning collaborative opportunities for patient, provider, payer and UCB.
  • Deliver and implement innovative and sustainable clinical value, contracting solutions to gain, maintain and optimize patient access and affordability to UCB solutions on regional or local level.
  • Deliver improvement in patient health outcomes and enhance sales growth and profitability within key accounts.


You will contribute by:


  • Identify and analyses therapeutic area opportunities and problems and make proposals for appropriate improvements.
  • Local/regional in-market implementation of patient access strategies and activities at multiple levels, may it be access to our specific solutions or general access to care initiatives.
  • Be the expert on regional/buyer group environmental insights re payer strategies and performance metrics. Build strong external networks and achieve local payer/buying group and HIC intelligence, use this to build credibility and develop engagement with key stakeholders also outside the traditional payer target customer base.
  • Develops and executes regional/buyer group/local access plans to optimize access for UCB products.
  • Localizes and communicates Payer Value Propositions (clinical and financial) effectively to all key stakeholders and decision-makers to optimize patient access to solutions.
  • Provision of scientific and cost effectiveness documentation to payers and buyer groups, hospital accounts.
  • Provision of documentation and working tools to support HCP Partner activities such as account strategy and training in account management.
  • Development and implementation of agreements and contracts towards regions, hospitals or buying groups.


Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:


  • University/HBO Degree, preferably in the Life Sciences.
  • Relevant experience within the pharmaceutical industry in the dermatological therapeutic area. Experience within Inflammation & immunology areas is an advantage.
  • Excellent insights into local eco system/country health care systems/funding flows.
  • Strong health care system knowledge including; horizon scanning processes and the systems for the managed entry of new medicines across a population; knowledge of health care policy drivers; & working knowledge of redesign initiatives.
  • Affordability modelling (e.g. outcomes guarantee) and reimbursement of medicines.
  • Strong selling, account management and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to establish successful networks.
  • Successful strategic & commercial track record.
  • High levels of impact and influence.
  • Ability to identify customer’s needs and tailor solutions.
  • Business and financial acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & spoken).
  • Languages: Dutch, fluent in English (both in written and orally).
  • Demonstrate high levels of personal integrity, ethics and professionalism.
  • Full driving license and fit to drive.
  • Ability to travel extensively within The Netherlands (on occasions, overnight stays may be necessary).
