Regional Sales Trainer (Northeast)

Job Summary:

Leads System Liaisons (SL) or Provider Liaisons (PL) and Neurology Associates (NA) in development of tactical plans for each territory that reflects the specific ecosystem and patient needs of stakeholders, and is aligned with the strategic and financial goals of the neurology business unit (nPVU).  This position covers the New York, New England, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Cleveland and the Great Lakes regions.
Guides the assessment, planning and implementation activities for SL or PL and NA to ensure maximum patient and stakeholder value creation, and fulfillment of nPVU strategies.
Oversees SL or PL and NA implementation to assess performance and to help each PL to achieve maximum value for patients and stakeholders.
Develops SL or PL and NA discipline through the teaching/coaching of competencies leading to improved performance.
Coordinates with peers across disciplines to ensure availability of appropriate resources to support field sales activities.
Ensure UCB operational compliance to the highest professional standards.  The expectation is that compliance is a part of how we operate.  Compliance violations may lead to disciplinary action including impact on annual appraisals.  Adherence to compliant behavior is an expectation at UCB.

 

Key Deliverables:

  • Annual Tactical Plans for each SL or PL and NA, reflecting insights into unique challenges and opportunities for their territories.
  • Annual Action Plan for their region, based on roll-up of SL or PL and NA action plans, and own insights into potential for patient and stakeholder value creation.
  • Individual Development Plans for each SL or PL and NA in their regions, with updates as appropriate to reflect variance from annual plans.
  • Monthly performance reports for region and individual SL or PL and NA.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years in stakeholder facing roles within healthcare
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary and/or matrix teams
  • Bachelors’ degree in life sciences, business or healthcare required
  • Knowledge of appropriate regulatory guidelines
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in managing, developing, and influencing teams
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communications
  • Demonstrated strength in business planning, tactical plan development and execution

This position requires up to 75% domestic travel.
