To strengthen our Patient Value Unit Immunology, based in Milan, Italy, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Medical Strategy Lead – Dermatology.

As a Medical Strategy Lead - Dermatology you will identify and foster purposeful partnerships with key scientific influencers to drive new sources of patient value.

You like to work in an environment where you can:

  • Be the highest possible scientific standards in the implementation of the strategy and the tactical execution at the Italian level
  • Be the connectivity between the Region, the Area and local field organization on long term strategic objectives, clinical development and cross border initiatives
  • Be the reference scientific expert for National market access initiatives like national negotiations & HTA submissions


You will contribute by:


  • Adapting and translating appropriate scientific contents and securing connection with the EU strategic operation team. In relation to this you will address barriers to the efficient development of materials and assets for the field
  • Ensuring appropriateness and consistency of contents dissemination through the different stakeholder facing roles across the Italian eco-systems
  • Ensuring the highest scientific standards in the solutions deployed, warranting alignment with the global strategy, the Regional priorities and anchoring in the patient subpopulation where we want to differentiate
  • Being an area scientific coordinator and interface between Italy and EU of long-term scientific initiatives connected to new indications and new products from a content perspective
  • Being the reference point for the UCB Pipeline projects (clinical trials), EU Cross-borders and guidelines initiatives in terms of scientific content, execution will be driven by MSLs
  • Being accountable for providing cross-discipline scientific input and high quality of scientific content in the development and delivering of scientific/clinical evidence and documents supporting pricing and market access negotiations at national and/or key sub-national levels in Italy, in line with ecosystem needs




Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:


  • Master’s Degree required; PhD preferred, in one of the following areas; Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Internal Medicine, Orthopaedic
  • 5-10 years in stakeholder facing roles within healthcare
  • Demonstrated experience in working within multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of appropriate regulatory and access/HTA guidelines
  • Proven coaching skills regarding individual and team developing
  • Proven cross functional project team’s leadership
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communications, in English and in Italian
  • Demonstrated strength in business planning, tactical plan development and execution
  • Strong value commitment
