To strengthen our Patient Access & External Engagement team, based in Milan, Italy, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Patient Access Solution Lead

 

As a Patient Access Solution Lead, you will identify and foster purposeful partnerships with key scientific influencers to drive new sources of patient value.

  • To be part of the Immunology Healthcare system strategy (regional and local level), establishing, growing and protecting our Immunology brands, ensuring sustainability for our current and future portfolio, at a time when there are continuous environment challenges and more sensitivity to drug costs.
  • Identify, Create & Implement access solutions, focusing on mutual or triple win collaborations opportunities (UCB, NHS customer and the Patient) resulting in removal of regional and local system barriers with patients getting improved access to our Immunology medicines.
  • Support and facilitate robust payer and system understandings and UCBs Healthcare knowledge capability, be responsible for development of regional/local payer’ material and solutions according to local Patient Value Units plans. To share knowledge in ways that will make everyone more successful at their day-today activities

 

You will contribute by:

 

  • Be part of developing the strategy utilizing payer and system insights to inform UCB Immunology Patient Value Unit strategic and operational plans.
  • Be responsible of developing appropriate tools and solutions to ensure Patient Access Partners in Immunology are equipped, trained and supported on Market Access solutions. 
  • Collaborating externally and internally on initiatives that support optimal use of our products.
  • Develop access tools, solutions and frameworks to allow optimal positioning of our medicines on pathways for example, support funding decisions, service changes or disease management reviews.
  • Supporting the generation of innovative value-based contracts local and regional, and datasets that support the Immunology portfolio and improve patient care.
  • Support the Healthcare process (especially regionally and locally), Immunology policies and funding flows and share knowledge to enable colleagues to be successful in the day to day activities.
  • Acting as strategic support and subject matter expertise on effective solutions that suit different NHS decision makers.

 

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred in healthcare, access or HTA-related subjects including medicine, health economics, epidemiology.
  • Substantial experience in the Italian healthcare environment.
  • Previous experience in market access and account management (3-5 years in Pharma required), field experience would be preferred.
  • Demonstrate ability to plan at business unit level of complexity.
  • Preferentially- previous experience in the Immunology, Neurology or Rare diseases.
  • Excellent knowledge of NHS structures, processes & policies, funding flows, decision making.
  • Sound understanding of how to successfully apply clinical, humanistic and economic evidence and efficiently communicate the results to support commercialization of products across the neurology franchise.
  • Robust understanding of access strategies and tactical development.
  • Therapeutic area experience (Immunology) is preferred
  • Strong project management and inter-personal skills.
  • Proven working collaboratively.
  • Pro-activity.
  • Project management experience.
  • Problem solving with the ability to work taking initiative when needed.
  • Fully competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to a minimum or intermediated level.
  • Good level of English is required.
