Insights to Impact R&D Lead - Immunology Missions

As part of UCB’s sustained and strategic commitment to patients, UCB will continue to focus on fact-based decision making. To enable this, three Insights-to-Impact (I2I) functions have been established within the Corporate Development and Finance function, which are acting as independent sparring partner to the Research & Development (R&D) teams, providing Insights and a transversal resource reallocation challenge, while performing business planning.

 

The I2I R&D function focuses on all R&D activities across our portfolio (early and late stage), wherever they take place within UCB: Early Solutions, Development Solutions, Immunology Missions, Neurology Missions.

 

As the Insights to Impact R&D Lead – Immunology Missions you will have the opportunity to influence and shape the long term strategy of the UCB, whilst leading, influencing, and managing multiple senior-level stakeholders.

 

 

Accountabilities:

 

  1. Be part of I2I R&D leadership team and develop a transversal view on UCB’s R&D portfolio with a deep focus on Immunology
  2. Develop a holistic view of immunology market place including long term opportunities and challenges
  3. Strategic partner and advisor to the Mission Leads and their teams on strategic and business matters, and contribute to strategy formulation – asset and therapy area
  4. Drive financial planning – short and long term - and performance management including tracking of KPIs
  5. Be the single point of contact to the mission teams for insights, analytics, forecasting, benchmarking and competitive intelligence. Define key business questions with mission teams, and collaborate with other teams within I2I R&D / Go to Market / Supply & Technology and Functions to deliver insights and analytics’ projects, and support interpretation of results and preparation of action plan
  6. Drive efficient resource allocation within Immunology R&D portfolio. Partner with counterparts across Neurology Solutions’, Early Solutions, and Development Solutions to maximize value through resource reallocation across R&D portfolio
  7. Partner with mission teams on evaluating new R&D opportunities, including acquisition or licensing of assets, internal pipeline and life cycle management

Your Profile:

 

  • A broad biopharmaceutical experience across two of the following domains (research & development, commercial, finance & strategy) in mid to senior level management positions
  • Strategic & holistic thinking and planning capabilities, including ability to connect dots
  • Experience of interacting and dealing with senior level management
  • Immunology experience would be desirable.
  • Multi geography experience would be desirable.
  • Exposure to advanced analytics and /or market research would be desirable.
