Ecosystem Lead

In partnerships with internal stakeholders, identifies, develops and executes patient value solutions of common interest. Creates network of key stakeholders in a local ecosystem when relevant (e.g. key stakeholders involved in the patient pathway to ensure alignment / consistency in patient care). Partners with and connects senior executives and/or leaders in systems and networks in the local health ecosystem to drive towards optimal patient care through defined strategic priorities. Develops local strategy and priorities aligned to system/network needs. Ensures UCB Operational Compliance to the highest professional standards.  The expectation is that compliance is a part of how we operate. Adherence to compliant behavior is an expectation at UCB.

 

  • Manage in the matrix environment which will encompass the Customer Table (Medical Affairs, Market Access, Marketing, Patient Experience, etc.)
  • Assist in the development and execution of the compensation and incentive plan for HCP Partners (Territory Managers)
  • Analyze insights including business statistics, data and customer feedback to provide an information framework for the development and implementation of territory business plans
  • Attain sales objectives for assigned products on a quarterly and yearly basis
  • Establish productive business relationships with key local, regional and National KOLs within the geographical coverage area
  • Coach HCP Partners (Territory Managers) on utilizing an effective selling approach utilizing all intelligence available (SCM and VISU Performance Dashboard)
  • Participate in conventions and customer meetings relating to the therapeutic areas
  • Consolidate and communicate internally insights from the field and ecosystem
  • Anticipating together with networks future value drivers for patients and the ecosystem 
  • Create networks of key stakeholders in a local ecosystem when relevant (e.g. key stakeholders involved in the patient pathway to ensure alignment / consistency in patient care)
  • Understands healthcare-related trends & barriers to optimized care, and leverages them to engage networks/systems along the rheumatology/dermatology patient journey to improve outcomes for patients
  • Partners to implement innovative solutions to address identified care gaps
  • Overnight travel within the assigned region to work with HCP Partners (Territory Managers) and ecosystem stakeholders on a routine basis

 

Key Activities:

  • Ensures that each ecosystem is working to a strategy based on key insights into the unique characteristics of market, designed to maximize patient value creation and advance iPVU brand objectives
  • Oversees cross-functional collaboration, and coordinates build out of tactical details of strategic plans to maximize synergies and eliminate redundancies
  • Makes sure customer-facing team members have training and resources to execute effectively, and adjusts where necessary to reflect changing market needs
  • Leads from the front to ensure a culture of compliance in all initiatives and activities within the assigned territories
  • Provides inputs and support decision making around resource allocation across channels
  • In partnerships with networks identify, develop and execute patient value solutions of common interest to address identified care gaps

Experience / Qualifications        

  • Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree Preferred
  • 10+ years of healthcare related experience (2+ sales, 2+ sales management, 2+ marketing, market access or field medical experience (can include 3+ years in key account management)
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary and/or matrixed teams
  • Professional training and development in areas such as field operations, managed markets, or healthcare administration
  • Market expertise in biologics specialty; Rheumatology and/or Dermatology disease area
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communications
  • Demonstrated strength in business planning, tactical plan development and execution
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with high level key opinion leaders (KOLs).
  • Ability to analyze complex technical data and to develop sound business plans
  • Experience in budget management.
  • Bilingual (French) is an asset.
  • Field based; ideal location is Toronto (GTA)
