To strengthen our Global Clinical Science & Operations (GCSO) department, based in our RTP Office in Raleigh, NC we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Asset Data Lead.


As an Asset Data Lead you will be in charge of ensuring planning, oversight, proactive engagement and management of clinical data from end to end of development process, including supporting regulatory submissions, for assigned UCB assets and programs

  • Manage a team of (Senior) Study Data Leads
  • Take responsibility to ensure strategic and tactical planning and implementation for data management and risk management of assigned assets
  • Build an agile, vibrant and entrepreneurial global working environment within the department to keep personnel motivated and attrition low


You will contribute by:

  • Leading and manage employees and their development and performance, including recruiting, evaluations, training, mentoring/coaching
  • Owning Data Plan, Technology Plan, Standards Plan, Data Project Management, Data for Submission Plan and Timeline for assigned assets
  • Driving and overseeing planning and oversight for assigned Assets and Programs
  • Creating strategic plan regarding development and organization of the team to include budget management, distribution of workload across resources, outsourcing strategies, collaboration with strategic partners or other vendors, etc. and achieve efficiencies with effective management of resources.
  • Overseeing the implementation of agreed standards, improve efficiency of data acquisition and oversight activities, benchmarking activities, developing global training material and quality standards/procedures and ensuring that processes, SOPs and standardized training/tools exist to facilitate consistent, efficient and compliant data acquisition and other team deliverables
  • Ensure strategic and tactical planning and implementation for data management and risk management of assigned assets


Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

  • Relevant academic background
  • 10+ years of experience in a CRO/pharmaceutical environment with a proven and consistent record of proactive management of data vendors. 
  • 10+ years of experience overseeing and ensuring consistency in data management and technical data-related processes.
  • 5 years of managerial experience in a multicultural and global pharmaceutical environment
  • Leadership, communication, planning and organization skills.
  • Innovative, proactive, problem-solving and decisive approach.
