To strengthen our Real World Evidence (RWE) Team, based in our RTP Office in Raleigh, NC, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: RWE Data Analyst.

 

As the RWE Data Analyst your objective to support the analysis of Real World Evidence internal database studies for current or future UCB compounds.  This role is global in scope.

 

As the RWE Data Analyst, you like to work in an environment where you will: 

  • Be an expert for Real World Evidence Data Analytics activities.
  • Be mentor to your colleagues within RWE Data Analytics.
  • Be able to develop support/ develop and lead the improvement of standards and procedures within the RWE Data Analytics team.

 

As a RWE Data Analyst, you will contribute by: 

  • Leading and supporting Data Analysis and statistical programming study related activities within the Real World Evidence Practice.
  • Providing input on and review of study design, analysis plans and other study related documents.
  • Developing, validating, maintaining, and document analysis programs and other study documents.
  • Providing input on interpretation of results and reviews publications
  • Providing technical database expertise to stakeholders
  • Supporting the development and rollout of new standards and processes in RWE Data Analytics.
  • Enforcing RWE Data Analytics SOPs and working practices.
  • Acting as an RWE representative when required.
  • Potentially supporting the Head of RWE Data Analytics to provide direction, motivation and oversight of RWE Data Analytics and study related statistical programming resources

 

Interested? For this position, you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

  • 5+ (with a Master’s degree) to 7+ (Bachelor’s degree) years’ experience with a proven successful track record of analysis of Real World Data in partnership with Epidemiologists and Outcomes Researchers
  • Advanced statistical programming skills in SAS to solve complex programming tasks.
  • Advanced knowledge of efficient programming with large databases
  • Knowledge of Health Claims databases or Electronic Medical Records databases such as IBM Marketscan data or CPRD Data
  • Knowledge of statistical and epidemiological methods
  • Knowledge of data visualization techniques is a plus
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal
  • Experience in communicating with all levels of personnel across various departments, in domestic and international environments
  • Good project management skills including experience in managing multiple tasks
  • Potential to mentor and lead other statistical programmers
  • Ability to work under pressure and without close supervision
  • Able to adapt to change
