To strengthen our global Real-World Evidence (RWE) Practice team, which is comprised of epidemiologists, analysts, methodologists, and health outcomes experts, we are looking for a Real World Evidence(RWE) Methodologist. The position will be based in one of our global locations (Brussels, Belgium, Slough, UK, Monheim, Germany, or Raleigh, North Carolina, USA). The RWE Practice strives to harness the full potential real-world data to support UCB’s mission to enhance our understanding of disease and the real-life experiences of patients so that UCB can deliver the right drug and the right care to the right patient.

 

As an RWE Methodologist, you will be responsible for designing and executing projects using real-world data.

  • Expertise in epidemiologic and statistical analysis methods utilized to generate RWE; excellent qualitative and quantitative epidemiological skills, including study design and analysis of health insurance claims and other automated healthcare databases
  • Able to provide technical expertise and guidance on observational research and epidemiologic methodology to internal stakeholders
  • Understanding of innovative approaches utilizing novel real-world data sources to support and inform the study design and analysis
  • Knowledge of the epidemiologic methods involved in the quantification of potential safety signals, the determination of cause and effect relationships for potential safety signals and the application of epidemiologic methods
  • Familiarity with software for management and analysis of epidemiologic data
  • Ability to work in a global environment
  • Ability to proactively use his/her relationships with internal and external stakeholder groups to synthesize thinking, build advocacy and empower implementation of the above-mentioned solutions in support of UCB portfolio performance and patient outcome
  • Clear focus on patient-centricity
  • Communication skills at both middle and senior level across the organization

Experience:

  • PhD Advanced degree in Epidemiology or Methods in RWE
  • 5 yrs. experience in pharmaceutical
  • Expertise in epidemiologic and statistical analysis methods utilized to generate RWE excellent qualitative and quantitative epidemiological skills, including study design and analysis of health insurance claims and other automated healthcare databases
  • Able to provide technical expertise and guidance on observational research and epidemiologic methodology to internal stakeholders
