To strengthen our Real-World Experience Team in Raleigh, NC, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of Real-World Evidence/Epidemiology Intern.  

 

The UCB Global Real-World Evidence (RWE) team is looking for a master’s or doctorate-level student summer intern to assist with systematic and targeted literature reviews in line with PRISMA guidelines (http://www.prisma-statement.org/); real-world data study planning (background research, protocol development, development of code lists, etc.); and interpretation and communication of results (creating and editing reports, abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and/or presentations) to support projects across the RWE team. Qualified candidates will have completed master’s level or higher coursework in epidemiology and statistics, with prior experience in the activities listed above. 

 

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills
Minimum Qualifications:

•    Graduate student currently working towards a master’s or doctoral degree

 

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Excellent and effective oral/written skills
•    Proven ability to write/edit scientific communications (abstracts, poster presentations, podium presentations, manuscripts, etc.)
•    Completed master’s level or above coursework in the areas of epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, outcomes research, health economics, biostatistics, data science or related disciplines
•    Experience performing systematic and targeted literature reviews
•    Prior knowledge of and experience in pharmacoepidemiology a plus
•    Substantive knowledge of neurology, immunology, or bone diseases a plus
