Global Regulatory Policy & Intelligence Lead


To strengthen our Global Regulatory team, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Global Regulatory Policy Intelligence Lead.


As the Global Regulatory Policy Intelligence Head, you will drive and shape UCB policy and shape the environment to drive patient value in the region


You like to work in an environment where you can:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with groups including Health Authorities, the EMA, trade associations and the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Provide expertise into the teams to ensure Health Authority needs and requirements are understood and included where appropriate.
  • Work in a matrix environment where connectivity is paramount and is a priority over reporting lines.


You will contribute by:

  • Demonstrating a deep functional knowledge of the external regulatory environment and stay current in the field.
  • Integrating functional expertise with business knowledge to solve problems and make good decisions for the overall business.
  • Leveraging your knowledge of the health authorities, regulatory science and trade associations to inform the organization and represent UCB externally.
  • Providing leadership and personal development to your team.
  • Demonstrating strong communication and influencing skills both within and outside of the organization.


Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

  • Extensive regulatory policy and intelligence experience with a proven track record of strategic agility. 
  • Proven experience with engagement and relationship building with regional/local Health Authorities, the EMA and trade associations.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills. 
  • Ideally you will hold a Life Sciences degree or equivalent. 
  • EU regulatory experience required with a proven track record of significant regulatory accomplishments.
  • Clear understanding of the broader operation of the pharmaceutical organization and the partner disciplines to regulatory.
