To strengthen our Talent Acquisition, Development & Learning (TAD&L) Group, based in our Slough office in Berkshire, UK we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Learning & Development Manager. 
As a Learning & Development Manager you will be a front-line ambassador of UCB’s learning organization and model compliance with company policies and procedures and support company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity throughout your work to help UCB realize its patient value strategy.


You like to work in an environment where you can: 
•    Act as an outstanding course facilitator. With curriculum and content provided by UCB, interpret these into learning experiences that motivate, build competencies, and improve individual performances and contributions to UCB strategy and results. The L&D Manager will use blended learning experience tools – including face to face and technologically assisted (virtual) learning solutions and will be responsible for keeping up to date with and implementing rapidly the latest trends and methods in learning facilitation.
•    Work on the continuous improvement of facilitation expertise. Taking into account business and technological evolutions and by gathering and monitoring feedback, the learning experiences and outcomes (knowledge exchange and understanding, behavioral change), work on continuous improvement of facilitation, sharing knowledge of best practice to improve expertise across the organization.


You will contribute by: 
•    Acting as UCB’s front-line ambassador for the learning organisation as an outstanding facilitator
•    Engage and elicit interactions from participants to successfully lead them to attain learning outcomes (knowledge exchange and understanding, behavioral change) during blended learning experiences: face-to-face, virtual (incl. video live streaming) sessions
•    Maintain communication with learners for the duration of the course/module
•    Utilize learning systems to monitor, track, and report learning activities – attendance, performance, learner feedback
•    Oversee the learning environment for classroom setup, course materials and media in collaboration with the Learning Operations Specialist
•    Work on the continuous improvement of facilitation across UCB
•    Remain current on business and technological evolutions, course materials and facilitation best practice, methods and trends
•    Gather and monitor feedback on facilitation and the learning experiences and outcomes (knowledge exchange and understanding, behavioral change)
•    From this internal and external input, propose innovative solutions, feed them back to the Learning Experience Team and implement them for continuous improvement of facilitation efforts
•    Establish and maintain contacts with people throughout the UCB Learning Function and share best practice knowledge and experience with them to improve facilitation expertise and learning quality throughout the organisation


Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills: 
•    Ideally a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Psychology or experience equivalent
•    3-5+ years experience in a facilitation role
•    Proven experience working directly with and supporting internal business partners in add specialized area
•    Experience implementing and coordinating multiple learning projects under global direction and/or in pharma environment is essential
•    Experience of working with SuccessFactors as a tool for managing and delivery training content as well as SharePoint & Microsoft 365
