Role overview

We are seeking a Research Associate to join our Skeletal Remodelling Group, located in Slough, UK.

 

Primary responsibilities

As a lab-based Research Associate in our team, you will be responsible for isolating and culturing cells, contributing to the development of cellular assays and delivering data from cell systems to support our early discovery projects in skeletal biology.  You will use your excellent communication and team-working abilities to drive our innovative projects forward from the laboratory.

 

Essential requirements

BSc (or equivalent) in a biological discipline

Experienced in the culture of mammalian cells

Some experience of working in an academic research or industry environment

A passion for delivering innovative new medicines to patients

Interest in musculoskeletal tissue biology

Good written and verbal communication skills

Ambition to work in a multidisciplinary team environment

 

Desirable skills

Experience in molecular biology, eg RNA isolation, qPCR

Familiarity with primary cell culture
