To strengthen our Contracts and Pricing team, based in Atlanta, GA, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of Contract Manager.

As Contract Manager, you will drive the contracting process from initiation to execution for regional Managed Care, Medicaid and Trade including contract negotiations, execution, implementation, and contract adherence. Responsible for managing and tracking the red-lining process for contracts, keeping stakeholders and management informed of high priority reviews.  Assists in the development of standard and unique contract language to be included in contract templates and offers and coordinates with Legal to ensure approval on language. 

 You like to work in an environment where you can: 
•    Manage the process for the development, initiation, amendment, and renewal of contracts for direct price, rebate, Service Distribution Agreements, and Fee for Service customers, 
•    Conduct the review of contracts by internal stakeholders, meticulously tracking all contracts in process and continuously following up with Account Managers to ensure contracts are completed on a timely basis,
•    Draft language across assigned channels for offers, base agreements, and amendments in partnership with Contract Lifecycle Manager to review with Legal which are both compliant and mutually beneficial between parties,
•    Build customer and stakeholder relationships during the contract negotiation process by ensuring prompt response and follow-up in completion of contract development both internally and externally.

You will contribute by: 
•    Ensuring alignment in contract negotiations across Managed Care, Medicaid and Trade channels. Reviewing and approving terms and conditions across Managed Markets, Legal, Contracting, Government Pricing, Reimbursement, Trade, and Brand Teams
•    Appraising progress on contracts during negotiation process; providing periodic reports to all parties concerning current status of contracts; communicating the necessity for contract extensions to Manager,
•    Exhibiting strong relationship management with stakeholders and negotiation skills while negotiating base agreements and amendments across assigned channels.
•    Managing the enforcement of the Contracts and Pricing SOP through developing and reviewing standardized forms such as Executive Summaries, Financial Models, and Offer Request Forms, ensuring compliant and accurate reporting to Proposal Assessment Team (PAT) members weekly, ensuring offers fit within the Grant of Authority approved by the Executive Pricing Committee (and if not preparing for approval by the committee), and reporting weekly results of contracting activities,
•    Conferring regularly with Reimbursement Teams to ensure consistency and contract compliance with respect to contract terms and conditions, formulary status, and rebate payments to determine contract compliance.  Assists with global internal audit requests.
•    Assisting in communications to Market Access field members of contract expiry dates to ensure the initiation of contracting complies with timeline requirements.
•    Scheduling and establishing the agenda for Legal Review meetings in partnership with Contract Lifecycle Manager and provides all documentation prior to meetings.
•    Conducts analysis on key performance metrics across the contracting spectrum for reporting to Senior Leadership and resulting in continuous improvement in processes to shorten lead time
•    Partners with Contract Lifecycle Manager to identify areas of reoccurring problems and cross train within teams to minimize discrepancies in the future.


Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills

Minimum Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree required
•    5+ years of experience with contract language and the business impact of terms and conditions changes within contracts
•    5+ years of experience in contract red-lining and management of contracting processes
•    Understanding of commercial/government contract language and industry standards
•    Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage tasks to achieve results in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment
•    Analytical skills with the ability to apply analysis to strategic evaluations of contracting decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    3+ years of experience in biopharma/healthcare marketplace strongly preferred
•    MBA or advanced degree preferred
•    Proactive approach to work, and excellent organization skills, with the ability to work independently and with varying degrees of supervision.
