The UCB IT Services Project Lead is responsible for assisting in the delivery of IT Services throughout the Americas region focusing on the management and delivery of IT Services projects and key strategic initiatives to drive continuous service improvement and innovation in service delivery.

The UCB IT Services Project Lead will plan, execute and deliver regional IT Infrastructure Projects to ensure strategic IT objectives are met as well as implementing the strategy required to improve IT services and end user experience. The UCB IT Services Project Lead will engage with PVU’s across the enterprise as well as subject matter experts across functional disciplines.

The UCB IT Services Project Lead will be required manage and become subject matter expert in key UCB initiatives, requiring daily follow up and operational management of the project service or system following implementation.

 

  • Assist with implementation of Fusion roadmap, continuous improvement plan and global CSI initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Deskside Service Teams to help drive consistent delivery of the Service across the regions in line with Fusion and UCB PVS strategy.

 

  • Build meaningful relationships with local and regional Stakeholders.

 

  • Contribute to continuous service improvement through identification and implementation of shift left opportunities, process improvements and CSI initiatives.

 

  • Partner with global infrastructure teams to participate and deliver regional computer room/eConnectivity initiatives.

 

  • Be accountable for leading the delivery of moderately complex to complex infrastructure projects within the UCB Americas Region.
  • Manage project scope and ensure that project vision and goals are clearly defined and that key stakeholders are identified and on-boarded.
  • Act as single point of contact for overall project budget and planning information, including managing project activities, budget, resource allocation, critical path, milestones and scheduling as required.
  • Responsible for delivering project execution within project teams.
  • Monitors and promotes internal/external trends in planning for the benefit of the organization and delivery of projects.
  • Where applicable, will be responsible for operational management of service, process or system following delivery of key projects.
  • Will be required to develop skills as a knowledgeable subject matter expert (SME) in areas of operational responsibility.
  • Proactively identifies, troubleshoots and escalates any identified risks and issues.
  • Ensure clear and timely input towards portfolio reporting and visibility.
  • Following closely UCB’s project processes, reporting and technology such as 4C and SharePoint.
  • Defines, develops and implements required training and knowledge (KBA’s) to ensure UCB systems and processes are understood and adopted.
  • Own the relationship of all projects, partnering with key stakeholders and vendors to attain accurate business goals and objectives.
  • Manages information flow between UCB local stakeholders, UCB global teams and partner (Computacenter).
  • Engages Global Portfolio Management and Governance team through providing timely and accurate planning information as required by governance process.

 

Education and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 10+ years IT experience in an enterprise environment with proven people and project management experience working in within local and global teams.
  • Experience of working with global, multi-cultural, diverse teams, with demanding timelines and complex deliverables.
  • Experience with IT systems and process implementation.
  • Excellent listening skills and ability to understand verbal and non-verbal messages.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry; pharmaceutical industry a plus.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
