The Immunology In-Office Injection Lead position in the US Immunology Patient Value Unit (US iPVU) is responsible for developing the comprehensive and integrated stakeholder engagement strategy that maximizes the patient impact of Cimzia’s in-office administered lyophilized powder for injection.  UCB’s unique in-office administered injection model offers unique benefit to specific Patient types when combined with differentiated clinical data across Rheumatology (in the Rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis indications), in Gastroenterology (Crohn’s disease indication) and Dermatology (Psoriasis indication).  This role will focus on differentiating Cimzia in the Immunology marketplace as the in-office administered treatment of choice.   Critical responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

 

 

  • Securing a deep understanding of the Patient receiving biologics in the in-office treatment setting to identify the influence points along their treatment journey
  • Oversight and shaping of account segmentation, value proposition, messaging, price/channel mix and sales force promotion strategy
  • Delivering solutions across the entire marketing mix to maximize impact across the entire value chain including specialty distributors, GPOs, commercial medical market access, and the Cimzia product offering.  Partnering with different cross-functional teams to develop these solutions.
  • Cultivating proficiency for UCB on in-office administration models preparing for evolving US healthcare environment
  • Active analysis & monitoring of competitive activities and influence on market dynamics
  • Oversight for strategic engagement with HCP agency and manage cross-agency integration
  • Plans, implements and monitors investments towards achieving objectives and KPIs
  • Develops relevant market research and forecasting plans to measure and evaluate UCB’s impact
  • Establish and manage tactical plans and OPEX
  • Coaching a team of direct-reports and leading through influence in a cross-functional team within iPVU and US-based organization to ensure consistency and alignment in all operational initiatives.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated strategic thinker with entrepreneurial mindset including experience writing and presenting strategic business plans
  • Experience in complex buy and bill environment, including demonstrated ability to create differentiated solutions
  • Deep understanding of the US Immunology ecosystem preferable
  • Demonstrated ability to “connect the dots”; coordinate with the decision makers as well as the indirect influencers to move projects along in a timely and expeditious fashion.
  • Ability to work across cross-functional teams a must. Internal partners include (but not limited to) Global, Market Research, SFE analysts, MAP, Medical, etc.
  • Experience leading through internal review committee (medical-legal-regulatory) process.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree (MBA) preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with at least 3 years in a marketing leadership role.
