To strengthen our Global Insights Team, we are looking to fill the position of Rare Disease Early Insights Lead. This position will be based in our Atlanta, GA headquarters. 

 

In this role, you will:
•    Lead competitive intelligence initiatives on late and early stage indications
•    Lead early insights initiatives on global level in the areas of rare disease

•    Provide holistic, insight-driven consultation to all levels of stakeholders by successfully partnering with internal colleagues;
•    Develop with the therapeutic area teams integrated insights that incorporate an understanding of primary & secondary competitive intelligence, trend watching, and environmental understanding;
•    Develop and maintain processes and communication with global colleagues to promote and facilitate the exchange of business and marketing intelligence;
•    Monitor the external environment to gain deep expertise in insight and research techniques and bring those forward within the organization;
•    Conduct primary market research projects that align with future objectives;
•    Oversees the delivery of objective, independent, and value driven insights gained from both primary and secondary competitive research designed to enable fact-based decision making 


You will contribute by: 
•    Effectively managing resources to provide management with actionable information and insight regarding customers (patients, physicians, and caregivers), the global market, and the business environment;
•    Working closely with Head of Rare Diseases Insights and Head of Global Commercial Competitive Intelligence to ensure systems, methodologies and outputs will evolve across the organization;
•    Executing primary and secondary research to clarify issues and reduce risks in decision making for molecules in development in international markets;
•    Planning bespoke projects using US secondary data sources to help understand market size, product utilization, and site of care in rare disease;
•    Conducting market research by identifying, designing, conducting, and implementing research to communicate actionable recommendations and implications;
•    Conducting payer research in the US, EU, and Asia to better understand the access environment and access strategy;
•    Developing the initial commercial insights for indications of interest during preclinical – Phase I development;
•    Developing an understanding of healthcare systems in multiple countries and geographic regions


Interested? For this position, you’ll need the following education, experience and skills


Minimum Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree (Biology, Business Administration, Marketing, Statistics, or related field) required
•    2+ years of expeience in competitive intelligence
•    Must have experience in at least 2 of the following competitive intelligence areas (more than 2 is preferable):  primary research, elicitation, secondary data and analytics, war gaming, scenario analysis, financial analysis, congress intelligence quarterbacking, macro/market/company/brand analysis models, AI/CI and counter-intelligence
•    Ability to synthesise large bodies of work into key actionable insights
•    Ability to lead cross-functional teams, including influencing without direct authority, in a highly collaborative matrix environment where flexibility and change management skills are needed
•    Critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to translate vague information needs into specific questions relating to expected use of results are required
•    Strong project management skills to include planning, prioritizing and organizational skills are required
•    Expert knowledge / understanding of market research and statistical techniques as well as study design
•    Ability to synthesize large bodies of work into key actionable insights


Preferred Qualifications:
•    Master’s degree preferred
•    5+ years of global Market Research, Customer Insights, or related experience in pharmaceuticals or consumer products company or agency side 
•    Strong skills partnering and communicating with stakeholders from multiple countries and geographic regions, at all levels of the organization
