The Senior Analyst - Government Pricing individual is responsible for managing the accurate calculation and timely submission of all required government price reporting and government contract performance measures. This role assures compliance with all pricing and reporting requirements legislated by the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Department of Veterans Affairs, and any state or federal legislation-required price reporting. This includes a full understanding of all current legislation and staying abreast of pending legislation.

 

You will contribute by: 

Maintaining complete understanding of all relevant current and pending legislation.
Maintaining full understanding of UCB policies and procedures regarding all government programs;
Researching and analyzing period-over-period changes documenting the drivers on all variances;
Presenting government pricing results to senior management;
Communicating with internal and external counsel and other consultants to gain an understanding of legislative nuances; 
Supporting calculation compliance and related process improvements, including automation opportunities;
Understanding and estimating impact of pricing and policy changes regarding government pricing;
Validating data integrity by reconciling to general ledgers, resolving data scrub violations, and confirming successful data load into GP system; 
Managing the calculation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual submissions of product pricing information and other pertinent data to the respective government entity;
Understanding calculation metrics and methodologies, researching and communicating cause of variances of results when comparing period to prior periods;
Soliciting and understanding the contract structure and strategy of the Contracts & Pricing business segments and their impact on Medicaid Average Manufacturer Price (AMP), Best Price (BP), FSS Price, NFAMP, and Average Sale Price (ASP) calculations;
Performing and sub-certifying all necessary processes needed to ensure compliant submissions including, but not limited to G/L reconciliations, Class of Trade (COT review), and 340b eligibility review;
Reviewing and understanding commercial contract language as pertaining to BP and FSS Tracking Customer; 
Managing the GP systems and update SOPs as required;
Performing pricing research and analysis on special projects as assigned;
SAP experience with Sales and Distribution module

 

Interested? For this position, you’ll need the following education, experience and skills

 

Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in Government Pricing calculations or a financial, analytically-related field with appropriate level of responsibility and track record of demonstrated success
2+ years’ experience in a pharmaceutical contracts group or providing specialty consulting services
In-depth knowledge and understanding of government regulatory requirements
Requires complex analytical skills, including the ability to decipher, research, and report key drivers of variances to calculation results.
Proficiency with spreadsheet programs and the demonstrated ability to understand and develop complex mathematical formulas

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Model N suite of applications (GP, MDM, Medicaid, CARS) helpful
