Within the relevant region, the Head of Regional L&TD goal is supporting value creation for patient by enabling UCB Patient Value Strategy in its relevant geographic scope through:

- helping to develop a learning mindset in an environment of trust, reflection, empowerment and knowledge sharing (create a “HILO” or “High Impact Learning Organization”)

 - engaging and retaining top talent through consistent and holistic engagement with other regional L&TD’s as well as members of the T&D leadership team on development, and retention initiatives. 

 

【職務内容】

This role partners with the different stakeholders within the whole TA&D team, Talent Partners and business groups to help design, implement and deploy L&TD programs that delivers on UCB PVS strategy & local business needs including right to operate locally  The Head of Regional L& TD works under the supervision of the Head of Talent Acquisition & Development. This role helps build and manage a team of Regional Learning & Talent Development. 
 
 • Design, implement and deploy learning and development programs in relevant geographic and functional scope and in alignment with UCB Patient Value Strategy, its translation from a TA & D strategy & compliance requirements.

• Manage a regional L&TD team responsible for both new hire training and ongoing development for employees.

• Ensure learning needs analysis & management to identify gaps/opportunities and make recommendations.

• Delivers tailored learning programs to the local environment from global Learning initiatives, tailored to the local environment & business needs. Proactively generates agile, tactical responses to UCB-wide strategic needs.  Enables the right solutions for the right gaps for the right learners, while preventing duplication.

• Collaborates closely with country/regional Talent Partners, Global TA & D, business teams to understand needs & reduces redundancy. Ensures the best learning solutions are shared rather than remain siloed.

• Sets and drive the strategy and execute on talent development initiatives in the areas of employee engagement, learning and development, and culture for the relevant geographic scope.

• Supports individual responsibility to become familiar with & follow all the laws, regulations, and company policies that apply to his/her job and level of responsibility (including onboarding, site and HSE specific regulations, compliance to UCB internal local/global regulations and industry quality requirements)

• Ensures qualification update trainings are in place for employees and external contributors representing UCB in the right format and frequency. Ensures documentation of learning & qualification records according to the appropriate records retention policy/archiving process in place (internally and by law in relevant geography), allowing UCB to operate by the applicable laws in the relevant geography.

• Manages Partners/Vendors/Contactors delivering learning and development support in relevant geography in alignment with UCB global guidance.

• In alignment with global TA & D and UCB guidelines, ensure the setup of performance indicators & SLA of the regional learning capability development & its reporting. Ensures relevant continuous improvement plans and initiatives are in place following performance & evolving business needs. 

• Helps drive UCB’s Diversity and Inclusion strategy and deliver on our company-wide programs and initiatives to help attract and retain key talent.  (All the above is applicable within the relevant geography and functional scope) 

 

 

【必要なスキル・経験】

• 7+ years of progressive experience in Talent Development, ideally within Tech or high growth, innovative culture

• 3-5+ years managing a team and/or function

• Proven experience deploying/implementing country/regional learning & development programs

• Proven experience working directly with and supporting business leaders and Executives

• Experience rolling out global programs and/or in pharma environment is a plus 

• Master Degree/MBA Strongly Prefered.
