About the Role

The Healthcare Professional Partner amplifies and strengthens the matching of UCB therapeutic options with appropriate patients in assigned territories through solid product knowledge, disease understanding and strong collaborative relationships.  Working together with key stakeholders within assigned ecosystems to remove barriers to optimal patient care.

  • Becomes an effective point of contact for assigned HCPs by applying deep knowledge of UCB therapeutic options and connecting HCPs the right resources at the right time.
  • Works with internal and external stakeholders and tailors omni-channel tools and other centrally created programs.  
  • Increase utilization of UCB products and solutions by improving targeted HCPs ability to better match UCB therapeutic options with the most appropriate patients
  • Take proactive steps to ensure that patients that receive a UCB product have the best patient centric experience
  • Identifies and analyzes medical, scientific and therapeutic area opportunities and problems, and make proposals for appropriate improvements. 
  • Acts as a subject area expert and creates awareness of patient journeys, unmet needs and therapeutic area-related topics.
  • Actively contributes to and takes responsibility for patient solution development and implementation

 

About You

You should have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Science or Business from a recognized university
  • Minimum of 1 year of strong, successful sales experience in the Specialty Pharmaceutical space; ideally 3 – 5 years years of successful pharmaceutical specialty sales experience
  • Strong preference to candidates with experience and knowledge in Neurology (specifically Epilepsy and Parkinson’s Disease)
  • Strong understanding of pharmacology and therapeutic knowledge an asset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strategic and entrepreneurial thinking skills
  • Collaborative approach - actively includes others in dialogue and skilled at eliciting information
  • Residence in territory locale: Toronto and surrounding areas
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license
  • Completion of Accreditation course by the Council for Continuing Pharmaceutical Education (CCPE) an asset
