To strengthen our IT team in the Brussels Area, Belgium we are looking to fill the position of IT Technology Strategy Lead – Intelligent Enterprise, driving UCB’s IT data and knowledge management strategy.

As the IT Technology Strategy Lead – Intelligent Enterprise you will contribute by:

  • Evolving and operationalizing the IT data and knowledge management strategy, maintaining and executing a pragmatic, outcomes driven roadmap of enabling initiatives.
  • Identifying and delivering the technology capabilities, methodologies, assets and accelerators to advance UCB on its data and knowledge management journey. This encompasses the end-to-end data and knowledge management value chain, including (technical) acquisition, discovery, access and provisioning, consumption and use, sharing of derived products, measuring impact.
  • Providing thought leadership, developing points-of view and formulating decision-ready recommendations on IT data and knowledge management opportunities.
  • Delivering concrete guidance and advice to initiatives, including the development of strategic options, data and information architectures, designs and models, identification and evaluation of technology solutions and vendors.
  • Being an ambassador for a data and knowledge management culture throughout the organization.
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of business objectives and opportunities as well as the emerging technologies and trends that can enable or transform them.

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related degree.
  • A strategic and analytical mindset and approach, combined with strong communication, influencing and change management skills.
  • Deep knowledge of the data and knowledge management technology and vendor landscape and emerging trends.
  • Hands-on experience creating data and information architectures, designs and models, consumption solutions and technical implementation thereof.
  • A foundational understanding of the healthcare or life sciences ecosystem and associated key legal, regulatory and compliance context.
  • People management.
  • Fluent command of English is a must, other languages are a plus.
